It's a prequel. "To be continued in Final Fantasy VII" is true from the story perspective, even without a remake ever being put out. It is technically not quite confirmation. Add to that recent, clear denials of a remake being worked on right now.

I think it's more the way that it's presented than anything else. Sure, it's a prequel to FFVII, but it seems a little silly to mock up a fancy bonus trailer like that expecting people to run out and buy it for the PSOne.

i don't really think it's a "fancy bonus trailer", it's just basically extending the connection to the game it all started at. Of course any FFVII fan who really desperately wants the remake has a chance of misinterpreting this, and like I said before SquareEnix execs love giving them blue balls, but i think it's pretty obvious the meaning here.

Seems like a bit much.

I'm not claiming anything is coming, be really nice if something was though. My biggest question is why those first two pix are new, the others...well arent.
