Kaizo Mario
#1
Remember that really evil Mario 1 custom level? Anyway, someone made two sets of really evil Mario World custom levels and made his friend play through them. The poster of this video has a good introduction to the series as it is, so I'll just copy it here.

Here's a video of the first level. Links to subsequent levels are in the youtube video description. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r86NLwCYXfk One thing I like about these videos is that they're not tool assisted, and they left in all the deaths while skipping the parts that that lead up to them if you've already seen it. ...That stuff is just... I dunno, cruel, but oh so amazing at the same time.
I was like 'No way, man, no WAY.' when the realization of how Mario had to cross that chasm at the beginning hit me. |

Having to time that linebacker jump so he can slip under him has that beat by a country mile.

I think my favourite moment is right at the end of Stage 4.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93-nUo0mmmc Right after the tape is cut at the end of the level. It's just priceless. |

the end of the first video is superb
Edit: Holy shit, level 2 is the best level design ever, especially the way you need to finish the stage. Last edited by koam : 09-25-2007 at 11:43 PM. |

The crazy thing about these videos is that the level designer keeps on one-upping himself as the levels go on so they get even harder and more creative. I LOVE the ending section of the sequel's stage 9 (which is the latest video that is out at the moment). Heck, I love the whole second half of that video, however horribly and hilariously sadistic.

God, these are ingeniously designed. Something a madman would create. You'd think if Bowser were smart enough he'd hire him. Mario'd pretty much be completely screwed. "Princess? Fuck the princess. I'm going back home."
I can't believe there's 22 levels to watch. I've only watched a few so far. God it's so ingenious. All 22 wrapped up in a neat list by reverse order: http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...ch&v=&uploaded |
