I would be excited, if it wasn't being made by SEGA
Which means it automatically looks better than any other fishing game on Wii, I'll take it.Originally Posted by VOOK
Yeah that looks exactly like the Dreamcast game.... wtf
(And remember, 6 months to release, they can tighten up the graphics a bit before then)
sports game of the forever. or something.
Yeah I thought the guys that did SEGA fishing were doing Hooked?Originally Posted by levious
well then what the fuck is Hooked! ? Guess I'll just wait it out.
You're joking... Right? Have you seen Twilight Princess?Originally Posted by duketogo88
Day 1 purchase, but only if they make a new version of the original Sega fishing rod controller. Fuck the wiimote/nunchuck for fishing! How the hell are you going to reel a fish in, waggle it to death?
:D Maybe its too early in the morning for me to be writing sarcastic posts.Originally Posted by temjin

or maybe Sega of Europe is publishing Hooked as Sega Bass Fishing? Sucks if europe has to wait six months for it.
No, thats a Wii only additon though, the option to club the fish to death using gestures!*Originally Posted by duketogo88

*No, I do not condone the torture of fish, I enjoy fishing and always use a catch and release policy.
That's what I'm thinking.Originally Posted by levious

Wrong fish for that, I partake in Coarse fishing, haven't ever done any fly fishing for anything remotely edible (Trout, Salmon etc), :)Originally Posted by temjin
funny, i use the catch and eat policy. should try it :P
aww...small one!
Here's hoping they are helping Sega out with this one.
thanks in advance
I'm betting it's the 2 DC games ported and combined by a western studio (with some additional content sprinkled on top). More or less like what Gearbox is doing for Samba Wii.Originally Posted by -WindYoshi-
Great! But isn't SIMS working on Hooked! right now?

How in God's name do we know this based on a blurb in Nintendo Power? I mean, you could be right, but it seems a stretch to call it an enhanced port based on knowing nothing about the game.
I was wondering when this was going to be announced. Seems like a perfect fit for the Wii. I still have 2 working fishing rods for the DC. Such a fun game.

why did you get two? Wanted a backup?
I dunno . . . the fact that it took them a year to figure out that it might be good idea to make that awesome dreamcast game for the Wii is a bit worrisome. They probably only made the decision because lots of fans like you contacted them and asked them why hadn't they made it yet.Originally Posted by Stop It

Yes indeed. I bet this "brand-name" cash-in will suck.Originally Posted by PkunkFury

Yeah, I got the second one on the cheap when Sega Marine Fishing came out.Originally Posted by levious

I'm hoping for at least one fishing game gem from the Wii. As you've said, the remote is made for that genre. I'll be fucking dissapointed if we never saw one.Originally Posted by ghostmind
Someone PLEASE make a good fishing game for the Wii - the console is pratically designed for it...
give us an HD Bass fishing on 360/ps3 with photo realistic graphics, a pack in controller, and online play
PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A career mode with online fishing tournaments would be excellent.Originally Posted by mr stroke

While I've never understood the appeal of fishing anything non-edible I welcome another addition to Wiis roster of games. It looks nice enough, and it seems to have a following. Something's up at Sega recently, they're starting to make sense again.
Just a hunch... seems to be the pattern we're seeing for SEGA's "revived in the west" DC era franchise handouts. Basically like what happened to Crazy Taxi and Virtua Tennis on PSP, I'd just expect something pretty similar for Samba and Get Bass.Originally Posted by schuelma
