Square Enix registers new trademark: Lord of Vermillion #1

It's always interesting when Square Enix registers new trademarks in the patent office, and this time the company has registered Lord of Vermillion at the Japanese Patent Office. It's still unknown if its a new IP or a sequel, or which console is it headed to.

The trademark was registered at September 27, 2007.

Maybe a new IP?

Why does this name sound so familiar...

The name sounds like something from Tolkien or something, not really digging it

Edit: Dirtbag got it

It's almost like they heard some foreigner say it at TGS and thought "Hey, that would make a great name for a new FFXI expansion", then registered it the next day. Such a dull name though.

Can you double check and make sure that the title isn't preceeded or followed by the name "Chrono?"

There was a Vermillion Cloak in FFXI! FFXI sequel confirmed!

But yeah, sounds like a new MMO.

Was the same when the company registered The Last Remnant. Though this time everyone thinks its going to be a new MMO/FFXI expansion, back then most people agreed TLR is a new Fabula Nova Crystallis title.

It took only about a week from when people posted about S-E ergistering 'The Last Remnant' until they announced what it is, I personally hope this time it'll be the same.

Anyone know where the ad showing Sega and Nintendo as hotdogs is? I always ended up feeling hungry after seeing that ad.

It's also not that useful for the most part, unless you are killing Orc Lord or something. Maybe not as bad as Meteor Storm (is that the right name?) but Storm Gust is the only AoE wizards need in that game.
