Looking good.
So, has it been confirmed if there's online, or was it a misinterpretation?

Really looking good.

I'll say it again but if a WiiWare game is going to look better than most of retail games it's gonna be disturbing.

Like a lot.

Do you think it'd be a WiiWare game if it had more than the town you build from scratch?

Yeah, can't wait. I love simulation RPGs. What's odd and a bit sad is that it not only looks better, but deeper than most $50 Wii software.

No, there will not be any action-rpg elements in this game. It's a simulation rpg. You're basically building stuff around the kingdom that will support adventurers in the quests as well as opening up more options in the game. For example building a weapons shop will allow adventurers to have better weapons to fight monsters with, and building a magic academy will allow the Black Mage job to be available, etc.

Yeah it sounds like King Story. Except I'm more interested in that than this. :P

But this looks nice. They really didn't need to attach the CC name to it, though. Completely unecessary.

I tried coming up with a witty remark for that, but failed. Uh, pretty much everyone has pointed that out. Wii Ware in general is going to need some storage that is more than the 512mb that Nintendo is offering. Whether that means an External Hard Drive or better SD card support I don't know, but whatever it is, it's about fucking time. A year too slow Nintendo.

Do we know which team is handling this game yet? Kawazu or Tokita?

I wonder if Shade (ie: Quintet) might be involved... maybe it's a sort of spiritual Actraiser 3?

Why this game, that should be a budget game becuase it's a Wii Ware title, looks better then most of Wii's full prices titles ?

Still can't believe this stuff. Wiiware games will be 16mb. (final specs and limitations for Wiiware aren't confirmed though. It is subject to change i guess.)

I suspect squaresoft or nintendo or whatever the magazine to misinform their customer by showing Wii screenshots.

Is there any screens from the new Wii FF Chronicles game to actually compare?

You would have been fine with another rather original S-E game bombing horribly on a new service?

I think WiiWare games will be loaded off the SD card. Implemented through firmware update same day as WiiWare launch.

Well, it's pretty sad that S-E apparently can't have moderate success without attaching a recognisable brand name on their titles. Meh, if it's what gives them to dosh, then I can live with it, I guess. :P

I hope so.
It's not like the Wii can't read right off the SD cards (as shown by Excite Truck and SSBB).
The problem is, the software isn't there for saves and VC games.

It looks very very good and interesting. It's beyond ridiculous thought that a $15 downloadable title has far better graphics than 99% of ALL wii titles.

The graphics for these games look pretty darn good. How the heck are we suppose to be able to fit this stuff on 512mb of Wii memory? My Wii got full months ago.

I think it's interesting that they're taking FFCC in many directions but I still think that they should have tried more to perfect the original formula. I want full customization with my Selkie.

Neither, from the sounds of it. Toshiro Tsuchida is producing, Motomu Toriyama is doing scenario, and the Front Mission Online director is directing. Kumi Tanioka is doing music and it sure looks like Toshiyuki Itahana is doing character designs again. Looks like Kawazu might be executive producing, though.

Anyway, despite the heavy conceptual similarities with King Story, this game is looking and sounding pretty cool... so my interest is piqued.

Itahana is only art supervisor, character designer is Yasuhisa Izumisawa from Ring of Fates. And yes, Kawazu is executive producer.

But it also looks to carry the same character design style and races (which I really like) form CC, so it seems fitting. CC has established its own unique FF universe, if I'm not mistaken, and this appears to take place there.

Because this looks like a cool concept and a fully developed game whereas Pop looks like the stupid sort of lame minigame shit that I have no interest in getting through this service.

I'm also trying to figure out how they are going to make games like this fit on limited Wii storage space...

Maybe it's a WiiWare game that stores most of its content online/through Square servers? Who knows.

I want to play it. I love sims.. oO
Kind of weird how this and King Story are so similar-looking though.
