UBISOFT ANNOUNCES ASSASSIN'S CREED(TM) VIDEO GAME HAS GONE GOLD -
LAUNCHING NOVEMBER 13
SAN FRANCISCO - October 25, 2007 - Today Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers, announced its highly anticipated Assassin's Creed(TM) video game has gone "gold" and is set to launch in North America on November 13, 2007. The title is one of the most anticipated games for the holiday season, arriving on the PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft at the MSRP of $59.99 with the Limited Edition priced at $69.99 - rated "M" for Mature by the ESRB. In addition, those who pre-order Assassin's Creed at GameStop will receive an exclusive Assassin's Creed art book bonus when they pick up their game.
"We've been working very hard for nearly four years to make Assassin's Creed a reality and now there is a confirmed date when players will get to experience the results of our efforts," shared Jade Raymond, producer of Assassin's Creed. "This is a huge event for the team. Our biggest reward will be everyone having a lot of good solid fun."
Demo please!
I have a feeling this is getting pushed out the door regardless of what state it is in. Ubisoft probably feel they have put enough $$$ into the title and they want a return on it now, rather than delay the release anymore.
How am I going to truly appreciate the game if PS3 owners get to play it tooo?!!!!!???!

It's good to see that wherever and whenever there are games, there are console wars.Originally Posted by methane47

I really want this game to be good. Even though I have no money and will need to buy Orangebox + Mass Effect aswell.
Stop your whining. This game will be AAA.
If the PS3 version doesn't suck my interest may increase, but I have a really bad feeling...
I'm waiting on reviews, and gameplay videos. These latest previews have been pretty down on it.Originally Posted by Skilletor

- npc's popping up right into the player's face.
- massive screen tearing
- some framerate issues.
I want this game to be good so all I'm saying is that this better not be a case of Ubi rushing stuff out the door.
definitely. i'll put it on the backburner if it gets moderate review across.Originally Posted by snack

Planned for next year, no confirmation of a release date though.Originally Posted by disappeared

Yes, but I think it's been delayed to 08. I'd really love to see people bitching about framerates and screen tearing then. :lolOriginally Posted by disappeared

Pc WAS supposed to be day and date with console versions but got officially delayed to early next year. If the PS3 reviews aren't positive then I'll wait and hope the PC version gets the extra polish it needs but I really hope the game is good.Originally Posted by disappeared

I'll be waiting for angry/happy posts on gaf about this one I think

I'll get whichever version is better (most likely the 360 version, if what I've heard is right).
I care about it. In fact, I think it's one of the most conceptually interesting games to hit this year; the point is, I just think they should have given it a little more time, if for no other reason than to put some ease on our wallets. Even if the game turns out perfectly, I don't think I could buy it then if I wanted to.Originally Posted by spwolf

Indeed. I will be waiting for reviews on this one. A demo would be nice.Originally Posted by TheGreatDave
