Leakaton! Mario Galaxy leaked on the interwebs!
#1
If old or against the TOS, ban shuri.
Apparently, EBGames has a demo of the game with a 10 minute restriction. When you play that game on a Wii, the limit is not there. EB employee leaked it. It's not even a release group that put it online. NOTE People keep this civil. NO LINKS WHATSOEVER. NO GAME IMPRESSIONS. Release Note:

looks like EB are going to be getting phonecalls from their lawyers and also shipment diverted elsewhere.

Certain people have been given the game early and just like any other game or review code, can and usually is played on a De-Bug.
Great game though....:D |

Those kiosks are supposed to be locked. That means that gamestop/EB(same company right?) as a company is going to held accountable as a whole.
They better pray this shit doesnt leak out all over the web, or they are dead ass meat. |

Yeah I was playing the "demo" at Gamestop last night in order to get SOMETHING out of my trip over there since my preordered Ratchet & Clank hadn't arived there yet due to some shipping blunder.
I noticed no time limit and it seemed like basically the whole game. Needless to say it was awesome. |

I think anyone who can buy it will because there's no reason to not support Nintendo for making such an amazing game.

But casual games do not know this "piracy" word!
Just like Nintendo doesn't know this "demo" word. Although, after Guitar Hero 3, we're pirating demos now. I just give up. |

This is great for me as I have a policy of not paying for Nintendo products!!
Unfortunately this means I don't have a Wii to play this on. |

it was stupid of Nintnedo to ship full version "demos" of this game weeks in advance for so many reasons.

I don't think this will affect sales that much, casuals don't hack Wii's.

So us legit EU owners have to wait until the 16th of November but pirates can get it now?
Another win for piracy. Still, what the hell are Nintendo thinking providing a full game for demo in shops which are always breaking street dates and leaking stuff like this (not specifically EB but shops in general)? So stupid. Fucking pirates :Ž/ |

remember when halo 2 leaked weeks early, and then when it came out nobody bought it?
fact is piracy on the Wii is much less of a problem than it was on the original Xbox. this isn't going to effect anything. |

It was going to be pirated anyway, a week or two doesn't really matter. The people who download Wii games were going to do it anyway.

What's the point of this fuss, there is no way people can play that leaked code unless they live in China

False alarm people. From what I've read it seems that while the demo has been imaged it spits up an "unrecognized hardware" error when trying to be played.

WOW.
Why would Nintendo leave themselves open to something like this? Just send out demos and not the full games |

Like it's actually going to matter. The mario userbase is pretty up to date with pirating.

A side effect of this will be that The Mario Game contains "awesomeness code" that overwhelms and destroys all the computers of all non-awesome people.
Meaning, in two weeks time, the code will have spread like a virus, using the torrent to infect and the infected as vectors, until the awesomeness code has spread throughout the entire internet. Stupid users, trolls, GameFAQs, all will be wiped out in a glorious-though-disturbingly-genocidal wave of awesome. Stupid threads will cease, fucked up porn sites and forums will go down, Runescape and ad-covered flash game sites will be obliterated, Freewebs, Geocities, and Angelfire will finally meet their end, topsites that link to each other without any actual content will be massacred, pirates will be put out of business, endless e-arguments will cease. The e-celebrities, the wannabe e-celebrities, the internet drama, all will be washed away in the coming flood of awesome. In the end, the Internet will finally become cleansed. It will lack the shitty amateur-ness of the old Internet, while keeping its awesome and exclusivity, and retain the sleek and sheen of the new Internet, while banishing its overinflated Web 2.0 ego. And so The Mario Game will create Paradise on Screen. |
