Game Republic has popped a website up for its new PlayStation Network title Dark Mist.
It is an action shooter title where you play as light warrior Altemis and try to stop a demon king having his wicked way. As you do. ![]() According to a translation of the Japanese website by IGN there will be Sixaxis-shaking sections to clear enemies in close-quarters, but otherwise you will use a standard light arrow attack to do away with baddies or use a big bomb when things get a bit hairy and you want a breather. Special attacks should also help you out a bit, and come in Split Star, Meteor Flare and Lightning forms. It is due for release on 8th November in Japan for JPY 800 (GBP 3.40 / EUR 4.80). We are currently waiting to hear back from Sony Europe about plans for the game here. http://www.jp.playstation.com/scej/title/darkmist/ |

Before I get excited for this, has anyone played their first PSN game (on the JP store), Toy Home?
I was slightly excited for it, until I saw the trailer on GT, and realised that in motion it looks every bit as bad as Mad Tracks on XBL. |

I downloaded it last night. Only played with it for about 10 min as it was getting late.
There are a few different types of attacks. Bombs are limited to 2 per level. Special attacks take about 2 second to charge after each used. They can be leveled up and will allow you to use multiple times before each charge. Normal Attack: arrows Special 1: reflecting arrows - bounce when a wall is hit Special 2: spread arrows - wide but short range Special 3: projectile - short and narrow range but powerful Bomb: can be used twice per level Levels are somewhat like the original Zelda on NES. You are presented with one room at a time. Sometimes there are locked doors and you will have to find keys just like in Zelda. Sometimes items would pop up once the monsters are cleared in a room. Monsters and bosses are so far repetitive in my 10 min of play. Hopefully that will change. So far I feel it's worth the 800yen. Looking forward to put more time into it. |
