Interesting Nintendo study to see on the intent of future console purchase with the PS3 not far behind the Wii, and both way ahead of Xbox 360.

Purchase intent doesn't necessarily mean imminent purchase intent...they could have been asked which consoles they intended to purchase, ever.

Well, obviously, but it's not a slight gap between the two. In some cases it's almost double. That's rather significant according the graph. It's also equally interesting to consider that the survey was taken before both the 360 and PS3 started their big marketing pushes, around August.

Don't forget the VC will get Christmas Day updates in the US. But i doubt that would be the 9 we would need ( at the rate of 3 per week ). So multiple 4 day a weeks have to start soon [ Perhaps the 19th anniversary VC gets moved from 3 a week to 4 a week from now on? ]

360 and ps3 is rather easy to explain, well my personal case anyways. I have a 360 so i dont intend to purchase one, but i want to get a ps3 when MGS4 comes out.

Very true. Christmas Day last year fell on monday, and there were 5 updates instead of 3. (Two of which were free iirc Mario Bros and ?? ). So assuming those two christmas gifts get repeated this year. + 4 a week updates starting on the 19th anniversary that puts us at 200 for years end.
