Namco has opened the website for its upcoming Wii RPG, Fragile. There isn't a whole lot there, but there is a song (which is absolutely gorgeous) and a short little trailer you can view:

If you haven't heard of it yet, Fragile's being made by a collaboration between the internal Namco team responsible for Venus & Braves and Seven, and tri-Crescendo, which made Eternal Sonata and collaborated on Baten Kaitos and Baten Kaitos Origins.

It's quite interesting seeing the 2 main characters' arts shown in the website for the guy and the girl.

The guy wears a dress and the girl wears almost nothing.
Looks like main guy characters in JRPGs are trannies while the main girl characters are sluts.:lol

I could see the trailer. It's really cool looking. Not especially impressive technically, but it's filled with atmosphere and the artistic style is truly amazing. There are a couple of shots that are beautiful and edgey.

One reason to make me appreciate SNES sprites, and bad PS1 polys. If I knew what the character designer had originally intended, I imagine many of my favorite characters would cease to be my favorite characters. For example, new-age Cloud to old-school Cloud. And I hate to think what a character designer might do with Sabin and Edgar.

That being said, this game looks promising. I appreciate atmospheric environments more than realistic character designs.

The game will be compatible with the Wii Fit balance board and will come packaged with a very expensive and fragile vase which the player must hold and keep from falling. Hence the name.
