Ideally for me, it could be a game where you can choose from various Mega Man characters throughout the entire Mega Man series of games and pit them against one another, Smash-Bros. style...except with more of an emphasis on shooting.

True, but still :P For Z&W 2 to be released anytime soon the developement would had to start before the first one was released. Since its a new IP it would be a gamble to start developing a sequel before they see how well the first one sold.

Well assuming that this isn't a simple typo then Capcom could be betting on the "Phoenix Wright" effect. The original bombed horribly in Japan but the sequels have done great due to the critical acclaim.

No, actually Nintendo is the Publiosher for Zack and Wiki ONE in Europe. But i don´t really believe the game comes in January 2008.

Don´t forget: Zack and Wiki 2 is not official.
