I bought a hentai gashapon with intent to display it prominently in my house, seeing as I didn't have other figures. I put my coin in, opened my capsule and was greeted with a nurse urinating in a pan. That was a bit more graphic than I was aiming for.
It never went on display. |

I'm getting the Castlevania set, it's just a matter of where and when. I had it preordered but it seems like the Ebay person decided to forget them...
Yes, Succubus has a removable top but it's fairly permanent. They glued it on, so you may need to touch up (!) the details after, but she's modelled and painted behind it. I'm actually thinking of getting a spare Alucard and Succubus, and repainting Al to sprite accurate (white hair, red cape) and Succubus to the Rondo version (red clothes, blonde hair). As for the murloc figure, I have three of those from BWI. Signed by the Blizzard folks, no less :D |

Woo, heres some pics of my old and cluttered room, with figures literally all over the place!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In my new room! Where I've basically stuck to collecting 1/8s instead of gashapons and so forth. All the stuff featured above is currently in storage now. ![]() ![]() ![]() Not the best pics out there, but I do love collecting PVCs :D |

Hey guys. Keep up the great work; thread turned out much better than I expected.
As for me, I think I'm going to start a small classy collection to be kept in a glass cabinet, with good lighting inside. Like all geek things... they can look nice when you display them well. But if you keep them just anyhow, it doesn't matter how good it looked at the store on in the brochure, or even someone elses setup, it's not going to make your place look any better. So... in that vein; anyone have very classy models figures that they're interested in? And is it worth while going the paints for gundam models? You can't really get them looking too good without breaking out the airbrush IMO. But it's not worthwhile to do that for one or two of them... so does anyone know a place online for pre assembled, pre painted kits with a high standard of finish to them? I know there are department stores in singapore that display and sell this stuff (and I imagine many other places too), but it's more of an asian thing, and not so much an australian thing. Otherwise, anyone know of a high quality veritech fighter that looks the part in all 3 modes? |

This thread has made my lust for figures grown again.
I saw some phoenix wright figures earlier, but I saw some close ups, and uhhh... Porbably not. But, i must own some 1/6, 1/7 scale figures of Narusegawa, Motoko and Sakaki. I want some more girl figures dressed in very little clothing. Lei is a fruitening my collection a bit too much. Also, far too many MGS figures. Next year, I will get the 12" Raiden RAH figure, i want Old Snake, but they are expensive. also 5 7" 20th anniversary MGS figures will be coming out, at an affordable price thank god. But I must purchase them aswell. Living in the UK sucks, because figure buying is far too expensive. |

Put down an order for the cammy I was talking about.
It's a good looking figure; got a chance to have a look of actual out of the box shots, and they look pretty good. The face is also better and softer looking (and thus sexier) than I first realised; although overall, still inferior to the original on display at mitumasa.com (unlike the Chun Li which is damn near identical). http://www.amiami.com/shop/ProductInfo/product_id/76736 http://www.moeyo.com/2007/07/post_3060.html http://akibahobby.net/2007/07/zero3_cammy_sample.html http://akibahobby-a.sakura.ne.jp/2007/07/10/c005.jpg Set me back 90 AUD including shipping. A fair bit cheaper than the Chun Li, but that one was ridiculously rare and made of polystone... which I have no idea what that is. Edit: Apparently Polystone is heavy PVC-stone powder compound. A bit like plaster of paris? But more durable... even slightly flexible with moderate amounts of heat. The material does explain the high cost though. As for Cammy... the one significant flaw in this cast is the obvious seam line at her head. Can't see the rest of the figure betraying that, but oh well. At least I'm getting away with an awesome sculpt and relatively high quality cast everywhere else... I hope.

Continuing with the theme of few but high quality figures... I don't lust after much mecha; but the one that I am eyeing is this: http://www.hobbyfan.com/product_info...oducts_id=5759
RX 93-2 Hi-Nu Gundam. Another bastard rare gundam that mainly comes only via conversion kits, so you have to buy the Nu Gundam, then buy the conversion kit... and the conversion kit is pricier as well, due to the large number of subtle differences between them. Don't even know why they bother selling it as a conversion kit. Only problem is... I don't have any intention of buying hundreds of dollars of painting and modelling equipment to do the piece justice. I mean, I'd be happy to waste the time doing it, but it's expensive enough as is. But... does anyone know any commission model painters that could do this kinda stuff at a reasonable price to a high quality? What kind of prices should I be expecting for the work? 200? 400? I need to get chummy with some model painter and borrow his stuff. ;o |
