I saw some TV ads for this recently, and yeah, it hurt me deep inside. I loved the Chipmunks as a kid, but the one-two punch of the movie and the videogame has ruined things for me.

That's not a voice filter, it's a method of recording at a slower speed and then playing it back normally. Whatever songs are in the game had to be sung by the poor guy who voices the Chipmunks. :(

Also, to the person asking why male chipmunks are singing about a guy leaving: have you never heard that song before? A) it's sung by a guy and B) he's singing it to a girl, and it turns out it's himself he's singing about.

The way the GUI works is fucking retarded.

I realize they are trying to be different, but it sucks.

The game is too fucking kiddy and lame to even consider purchasing. The interface is even more offensive.

Sorry, I liked the Chipmunks as a little kid and all, but I would have thought this was fucking lame even back in the day. The Chipmunks belong on TV and at the movies.

I can only imagine there weren't playtesters, QA, or more than five hours involved in this game.

Still, when i think about some of the bad covers the guitar hero games have seen, the idea of one where they don't take themselves so seriously and use chipmunks as the cover vocalist IS tempting.

Isn't it obvious? it's a PS2 port, so you probably have to press a corresponding button to match the rhythm. I'm guessing you use the d-pad in the wii version.
