Honestly, a Gold & Silver remake is on top my wanted list for all Pokemon-games. I don't need a new Pokemon Dash/Dungeon/Ranger/Colosseum/Snap, just give me my Gold/Silver remake and I'll buy copies of both versions, on the day they're announced.Originally Posted by clay_ghost

Why gold and sliver then?
Gold and sliver Remake COMING SOON!!!!!!! I hope

Pokemon Dash is a piece of shit and even Nintendo is embarrassed by it. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is surprising competent and I do hope that Chunsoft does a PMD3 eventually (hopefully 2009/2010).Originally Posted by true Gek

so the next will be pokemon dungeon 3, and pokemon dash 2? -_-'

Well they better be anyway as their schedule is dead after Mario Kart :lol

As far as I was aware, we know that but we don't know that. It wasn't on any of the release lists (at LGC, E3, Nintendo World Conference). Nintendo doesn't do forward-looking release lists in earning statements. It's not even "TBA" on any of the internal press release lists.Originally Posted by Shiggy

What is "Pokemon DS 3rd chapter"?Originally Posted by Stumpokapow

Eternal Chronicle, Soma Bringer, Fire Emblem DS, Kirby Superstar Deluxe, Disaster: DoC, Wii Music, WiiWare titles, Nintendo Crossword, Mario Baseball Stadium, Wii's Shitty Chess are all known about and not yet scheduled for Japanese release.

By "3rd chapter" I meant Yellow / Crystal / Emerald for this generation. There's no official announcement or information, but it's pretty much a no brainer that it exists. It took 22 months from RuSa to Emerald. It took 13 months from GS to Crystal. So really we could expect the third chapter of the Pokemon DS gen to be anywhere from now until ~September.Originally Posted by Cocopjojo

I've been out of the loop on Pokemon stuff for a long time... Has there been any news on the next DS installment (actual game, not Ranger-type stuff)? Any official news, I mean?
And we'll probably get a GSC remake somewhere in between.Originally Posted by Stumpokapow

Also, Pokemon Ranger 2 is apparently being called "Pokemon Ranger: Batonnage".
Basically I agree with you. The ideas of Ranger weren't horrible, but I certainly wouldn't have played it if not for Manaphy; the difficulty got absurd at the end, as you said, and in general there just wasn't much to come back to, nor anything to do on the side apart from achieving main objectives.Originally Posted by Stumpokapow
Pokemon Ranger 2 could be good... but there were a number of serious flaws with the first one. The three main issues I had were: 1) Lack of mission variety, 2) the core mechanic requires substantial improvement; especially near the end where they were just piling obscene numbers of loops on you, and 3) the story was even kiddier than it should have been.
We can only hope. GS remains my fav generation but they're fucking unplayable these days because of the shitty interface. Actually, to be honest, because of the shitty wireless adapter even FiRed/LeGreen are pretty unplayable to their fullest extent.Originally Posted by Pureauthor

A way for me to legitly get my hands on Ho-oh and Lugia sounds dandy to me.Originally Posted by Jiggy37
As far as Gold and Silver remakes go, I don't see any way they're not happening. Some people claim that FR/LG were only created because they "needed" to be so that the GBA gen could get its hands on all the Pokemon, and since G/S don't "need" to be created they won't. But I think that's a pretty naive way of looking at things (and I'm fairly sure I've never seriously called naivete on anybody on GAF before). FR/LG sold multimillions; I don't see how Nintendo could look at that and say, "Well, you know, it's just too bad that we don't need a Gold/Silver remake, because if we did we could make more money. It's just too bad that we had to settle for tossing references to the Johto storyline all over Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, Fire Red/Leaf Green, and Diamond/Pearl."
Edit: "But just in case we do this Gold/Silver remake that has no chance of happening because it's not 'needed,' we'll go ahead and put some code into D/P to show that a Pokemon was sent over from Johto."
I want a new Pokemon Snap that lets us get Arceus. :(Basically I agree with you. I will say I'm sad that they're going back to what seems to be ten-year-old kids. :/ In Ranger 1 at least they were 16 or so (or if they weren't then they sure looked like it), which was a moderately nice change of pace.
Yeah, I'm so convinced the remake is happening that I've got three Master Balls just waiting to be used so I can stand in front of Lugia and Lugia and Lu, I mean, uh, Lugia and Ho-oh soft resetting three hundred times.Originally Posted by Pureauthor

Also, maybe I could STOP HUNTING ALL OVER %^u$%#& KANTO FOR THAT &*%#(%^ SUICUNE
This would be awesome. :oI want a new Pokemon Snap that lets us get Arceus. :(
Well, yeah, so did I. Maybe "difficulty" isn't the right term so much as just annoyance. :( Sort of like the bob-omb puzzles in Mario Galaxy.Originally Posted by MidnightScott
Anyone who found Pokémon Ranger hard fails at gaming. That was easy compared to other games out there, seriously. I didn't beat the final boss on my first try but I beat it on my second so. =S
It's not hard, it's aggravating. "Challenge" does not require thought, it just requires razor-like precision when it comes to the core, relatively boring mechanic. It's not Trauma Center-like skill-driven. It's not tactical. It's not even mindless in a good way like Ninja Gaiden. It's just GRRR.Originally Posted by MidnightScott

Pretty much. I really don't like how many new Pokémon (and how strange they all are). 250 is a nice place to stop.Originally Posted by Thomper

Pretty much. Though I'm at least happy that Lucario seems to be a part of the Ranger party. And to think, some people STILL seem to doubt the fact that he IS pretty much the face of the the D/P generation... :lolOriginally Posted by A Link to the Snitch
IMO, Mysterious Dungeon set the standard for all Pokéspinoffs - all 493 need to be in them.
