The proper ending in D1 is where Laharl lets the Seraph live at the end, Mid-boss stops Laharl from sacrificing himself to save Flonne and Flonne transforms from a flower to a fallen angel, Mid-boss does a speech and Laharls mothers spirit appears beside Mid-boss that indicates that mid-boss is King Konchevskoy then both parents go to wherever dead people go.
That's why Flonne has a tail and red eyes, and it wasn't until I saw the D2 intro did I find out I didn't get the real ending for D1.
:lol That would be hilariousOriginally Posted by akachan ningen

They never shown it but with the fake ending Flonne and Etna were talking to each other about the new batch of Prinnies and they singled out the one with familiar looking hair. :lolOriginally Posted by BlueTsunami

Would have loved to see him in Prinny form.
I looked in my world of disgaea book and it does have a picture of laharl as a prinny. I tried to take a pic but my batteries are dead. I'll take a pic later after I recharge them, if nobody else has it.Originally Posted by Steroyd

If the JPN version had English there would be a lot more talk about it, since everyone would be importing it. Sadly, it doesn't, so we'll be waiting a while.Originally Posted by kbear
When is the U.S. version out? or will the JPN version have English option?
NIS America's Xmas card this year had the two main characters from D3, so most people are guessing it will be out sometime this year.
That makes the whole prinny, looking like Laharl, insanity in Afternoon of Darkness more awesome, lol, good thing that isn't the true ending that would be sad =/Originally Posted by Steroyd

And Disgaea 3 might have better voice acting (I really liked Soul Nomad's VA quality).
Goddammit, I'm never gonna finish this game :lolOriginally Posted by Steroyd

I just read that the PS2 version of the first game didn't have the Japanese voices. Does the second game have them?
Not true. It had JP VA as well as english... unless they changed it for future copies.Originally Posted by Zoe

The cutscenes had the japanese VA, but not the actual gameplay voices, they were still english. I think that's what they fixed.Originally Posted by Scarecrow

Here's the story of laharl > prinny.
Is that from a strategy guide?Originally Posted by akachan ningen

I see a ton of cameos especially from generic units. Even the mushroom thing from La Pucelle is there. It doesn't seem the Overlord crew from Makai Kingdom will be playing a big role here though, those guys were awesome.

Thanks...I'll probably get it tomorrow to have it ready...
you should watch some of the recent trailers because it looks like geo panel madness, although the system looks to have changed dramatically. I hope they make it optional or less invasive.Originally Posted by dalin80
d2 was also far too reliant on geo-panels for my liking hopefull d3 returns to more 'natural' combat
Finally a PS3 game that delivers dozens if not hundreds of hours of gameplay and it needs to be a budget title? Just because it's 2D doesn't mean a lot of work didn't go into it.Originally Posted by Dark Octave

Your looking at 30 hours completing the main storyline alone and probably around 250+ hours trying to unlock everything, if that isn't worth it's highly likely $60 admission price I don't know what is.
