UK :

Just like last year, week 1 was owned by EA and the latest version of FIFA. But week 2 sees Activision back on top for the first time since clinching the Xmas No1 in week 51, 2007 – ‘Call of Duty 4’ laying down covering fire to claim a 3rd week at No1 since launch (-21%) and declining far less than the rest of the Top 10. EA’s ‘FIFA 08’ only drops to No2 however (-50%) and Ubisioft continue an impressive run with ‘Assassin’s Creed’ back up one place to No3 (-43%). EA’s ‘The Simpsons Game’ drops one place to No4 (-53%) and Activision rise 4 places to a new chart high point at No5 with ‘Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock’ (-30%). Konami remain at No6 with Pro Evolution Soccer 2008’ (-42%) and EA drop 2 places to No7 with ‘Need for Speed: Prostreet’ (-46%). Nintendo’s Brain Training duo occupy No’s 8 & 9 with original ‘Kawashima’ at No8 (-26%) and ‘More Brain Training from Dr Kawashima’ at No9 (-39%). Sega keep hold of a top 10 placing with ‘The Golden Compass’ down 3 places to No10 (-51%).

Oh for sure, Konami fucked the game up. I backed the wrong game and purchased PES08 instead of FIFA08. Konami better not drop the ball again this year or I will not purchase the game again.

Ps3 version of pes has been reduced of late on the ps3. Fifa is alot better this year and im a pes fan but fifa is the game of choice this year. Nothing much out this week on the games front here, we finally get galaxy wars on wii this week though wooo.

No problem :) Small correction, it was alittle less than 39k, its 38,242 to be exact, sorry. But maybe it has sold ~1000 copies the last 2-3 weeks so it might be upto 39k by now ;)
