^^ That is awesomely useful. The most recent update was on February 25, 2008, which upgraded the Wii Menu to version 3.2. This update allows a notification to be displayed across the Disc Channel if the current game disc inserted into the Wii requires a system update in order to be played.

It's a way to run homebrew Wii applications from a SD Gecko or USB Gecko, using an exploit in Twilight Princess.Originally Posted by twinturbo2

Hm, I should dig a little into this. Tell me more.Originally Posted by wsippel

You can exploit a buffer overflow to run arbitrary unsigned code using an exploit in Twilight Princess's save system. Nothing practical has come of it yet; just the very basics of homebrew.Originally Posted by twinturbo2

You copy a hacked save via SD on your Wii, then start Twilight Princess (Wii version, of course). Load the save and wait a few seconds - the game crashes and you'll see an ELF loader. This loader allows you to run applications from special GC memory cards. The homebrew scene is already quite active, so far we got a port of Pong, Tetris I believe, a proof-of-concept Linux minidistro, a MP3 player and a port of SNES9x.Originally Posted by twinturbo2

Someone figured out how to launch homebrew from a save file in Zelda TP.Originally Posted by twinturbo2

Oh shit really? I thought all there was was a non-functioning pong game.Originally Posted by wsippel
