The scan is leaked.
It is an overhaul version(for online play) of Lost Planet.
5/29 Japan,360/PC crossplatform play confirmed,too.
- Looks like you can fight as bugs against humans.
- 4 new maps (it says something about a city-style map, and a desert level)
- new female playable character
- new weapons
New maps.
New chars, incl. a female.
New weapons.
Trial Battle mode and score attack for the bosses of the single player game.
If this is fake: FUCK YOU. I just bought Lost Planet on Friday and multiplayer is off the fucking hook and I want more.
Seriously though, who the fuck asked for this? Ugh.
Still, I was hoping for something more. Given that the $20 retail game is dead, at least for the high-def systems, I have to think this will cost more than I think it is worth.
It starts whenever you get your 360 back from Microsoft.Originally Posted by cw_sasuke

Then it ends when you send it back. Microsoft Years are a little shorter than years by any other measurement.
It's not dead. There's plenty of people playing online. I played all this weekend and Monday and Tuesday night for several hours.Originally Posted by beermonkey@tehbias
LP multi was by far the best thing about the game.

Let me guess, this is going to be 3900yen? ~around 40USD?
That's like 3200 microsoft points, LOLOL
Capcom.... less obvious please?
I'll file this under, 'keep tabs on.'

This sounds good btw, i wanna see some screens.
Aliens are not vulnerable. They are fast and strong!Originally Posted by Mindlog
The opportunity to play as an Akrid intrigues me. I tend to enjoy very fast/vulnerable FPS characters like the aliens in AVP and Natural Selection.

Humans are vulnerable.
This would actually deserve a 2000 MS point DLC. Still no repurchase though.Originally Posted by jet1911
PvE as in 16 humans against waves after waves of giant bugs Starship Troopers style? :o
LP multi was popular for quite a long time. This will do well... if they fix the invulnerabilty lag. The only problem with multi was a person who was lagging was almost impossible to kill due to the way the game registered hits. So on your screen it would look like you got him dead, but on his screen he's already moved past where you shot.Originally Posted by Bebpo
So it's basically LP Directors Cut.
Wonder why they waited so long to release it then. I don't think anyone cares at this point :\
I'd still probably buy it for the PvE though.
Definitely probably not multi-only, but judging from the previously released achievements multi-centric.
Exactly. Give this game a budget price, or make it a downloadable game/expansion and I'm all over it.Originally Posted by Narag
Sounds neat, just not full price neat.
I just wish the devs at CAP could fix up the whole "stun animations," both in the SP and MP. In SP, some bosses just punished you, hitting you as soon as you got up from the knockback animation. Same thing in MP; the shotgun was a terrible weapon for this reason.
The game could really do without the looping stun animations you get caught in. I think it'd give the MP side a much faster pace, since you'd die more often, rather than wasting your time waiting for your character to recover from animations.
EDIT- The fact that 250 achievment points were unlocked leads me to believe this will be downloadable much like Shivering Isles, and the 250 achievement points indicate that Capcom is using Colonies as an expansion to the original game (since developers are allowed 1000 points on the disc, and up to 250 additional through DLC).
I think to the hardcore LP online players, sure it sounds good. I mean I guess it's closer to the equivalent of a $15 DLC pack full of online maps/modes. Usually these packs though come out sooner than 1.5 years after the game is released and most of the community has left.Originally Posted by Aaron

I just really don't see how they're going to sell this. The LP online community that's still alive is probably not enough to fund an new retail disc.
Maybe they'll pull a VF4 Evo and just package this as LP Greatest Hits version for $30.
I agree with all my gamer being. I haven't felt so angered with a game since jumping a tauntaun over gaps while getting hit in mid air by shit from off screen in Super Empire Strikes Back.Originally Posted by soultron
