Street Combat was possibly the worst fighting game on the SNES. that's saying a lot considering how many SF2 rip offs were around.

Yeah, it's for his intro. His victory pose is him doing a flying leap in the air, and the screen pauses. It's awesome.

I always THINK I want that?

But then I do realize that too much of it would be pretty distracting.

What I do think they should add, is that, remember in Street Fighter III: New Generation? Like a Super Art effect would envelop the entire screen?



This happened every time a super was triggered, not just an end of round knock out.

I think, for a nice compromise that in IV, supers should also have this, but have tons of ink and flowing particles everywhere.

Yeah that ink blotch during actual gameplay would be kinda distracting, I like it fine for winning poses and whatnot though

El Fuerte looks rad, good to see some sense of humor from Capcom too

Capcom needs to either commit more heavily to the ink blotch motif or drop it completely. From what I've seen, it's used so sparingly that it just looks like black colored blood.

I think Ono said the point was to 'package' the game that way, and allude to it in the gameplay. If you're just looking at the gameplay screenshots/videos, it seems much more sparse.
