Japan isn't so bad around May/June, it's July/August when it really sucks (at least Kanto/Kansai, Hokkaido and Okinawa aren't so bad).

Man, I made the wrong decision by getting a launch JP PS3. While the US versions have progressively gotten worse, the Japanese editions are getting better. Should've gotten a launch NA PS3 instead.

i think that is the case as well but imagine it is really made out of steel and how much it would cost in a couple of years. damn i should import one and do not touch it until 2011 and then ebay it for 2 or 3k € which will be about 10.000 $ by then

well sony is known for having great ideas to solve great problems, i think the heat will not be a problem even if it is made out of steel. for example it can be made of pretty cheap aluminum which does not save heat at all.
