NOT A REAL SUMMARY
Summary: - MAJOR third party games coming soon - Lots of good stuff on the horizon - Umm, yupp - Been playing Brawl and Mario Kart mostly. - Predicts Wii will continue winning NPD for the next while. - Just came back from a major pub's office, played some great games. - WWII Aces is a total turd, 2.0, "looks like Superman 64" - Want to hear more about Fatal Frame IV - Thinks portable VC is not out of the question. T-minus five minutes until Nintendo blogs report this as factual. |

Rock Band
- They talk Rock Band and read Harmonix statement on lack of online and DLC - All 3 feel its just a rush job port of PS2 version. PS2 version doesn't have those things either - Do place some blame with Nintendo for lack of storage (where DLC is concerned), but Matt doesn't feel there's any excuse for lack of online - Matt mentioned he knew Vicarious Visions worked really hard to talk to Nintendo over DLC for GHIII but just couldnt get it done in time. So they say there was blame for Nintendo there... but now feel some devs/publishers now just wanna get things out there and take advantage of Wii's popularity. - GHIII's popularity on Wii possibly shocked them into action and they rushed the job Wii Ware - Tomorrow is the launch of WiiWare in Japan, IGN will have articles/interface/videos over next few days etc Okami - They got the final build of Okami in - 16:9 is real now, paper filter is there - 30fps, occasional dip - Colours more vibrant - Reaffirm its a must have game. Wii remote makes it better. Wii Ski - Clean, crisp, kind of ok, keep your eye on it - Something about Bozon sitting on the balance board Wii <3 Golf - 5 min video of Wii love golf going up - From Camelot / Capcom - Matt excited about it, looks pretty solid - More depth than Wii Sports golf, but not assy like other golf games Mario Kart - They only have pre-release software, can't talk about online, its not in their version. - GP: 1 player only - VS, Battle Mode VS CPU in single player also - 4 player Battle Mode - teams only in their version -> can do 1 v 1 , 2 v 1 , 3 v 1 etc -> Modes: Balloon Fight / Coin Runners -> Can steal balloons -> 3 mins time limit - Mario Kart reviews coming out of Europe -- IGNs European guys haven't tested online either. Believe Euro pubs have been reviewing the game sans online SEGA Superstars Tennis - Not as good as it should have been - Its not bad, its fun with a friend - Not much charm, kinda sterile. - Minigames are kinda cool, Jetset / HOTD minigames - Another copout over online. - Do it on 360 Sky Crawlers - Very competent team, excited about it Blastworks - Level editor is great - You can upload levels to the site, register your Wii number, browse levels, select them and they go to your Wii automatically - 29.99, budget price, feels like its designed for Wii - Feel they really put their heart into the game Craig Harris' bike - Stolen Last edited by radioheadrule83 : 03-25-2008 at 02:28 AM. |

$29.99 for Blast Works?!
EB Games has it for $39.99, strange. Disappointing that Okami is actually 30fps, I thought it was said it was 60 or something, which I also thought explained the screen tearing from IGN's first videos of the Wii version. |

Wastes hours checking old Famitsu software data, but that's why we love him.

I wasn't completely convinced by Cassassassasssassmina's Kid Icarus talk until this podcast- I wondered if maybe he was just going off of all the rumors. But the way he talked about it in this podcast..he seemed dead serious that he knows exactly who's developing it.

You know what? Eff it. I know they aren't going to run out of copies or anything, but consider Okami preorder'd.
Also: I only need to hear one more positive/awesome thing about Blastworks before I'm day 1 on that. Hell, the thing could come with Monkey Pox and I'll still probably pick it up right away. |

Clearly they've never seen the arcade version of Target: Terror. The enemies aren't Lethal Enforcers-esque still frames at all, nor are they even stiff animations. They're actually pretty solid video animations that respond to where they're shot.
Hopefully they'll be pleasantly surprised once they actually give it a whirl, because right now, it seems they're expecting to give it a 2.0 or something just based on screens alone. |

"Believe Euro pubs have been reviewing the game sans online"
Seriously... who gives a fuck, online is an option and really a luxury in some ways. It should always be considered an extra and shouldn't have impact on the score unless specifically designed for online like an mmo, imo. |

You know what, I wouldn't put it past Nintendo not to give IGN UK a review build just because of everything they did with the JPN Brawl.
Of course, if none of the other Euro reviewers have online, then Eurogamer really is a load of crock. Oh well, not my favorite mag anyway. |

Fortunately there won't be a PS2 version, so the Wii version won't be held up using the same assets. |

BlastWorks only 30 USD? That would be nice. I'm sure it'll be 50 euros or something here, but I could import.
