I'd only even consider this if they massively increased the game speed. Pokemon DP was, for me, the worst installment of the series because everything just felt so slow. The overworld was the worst part--the 3d engine didn't really make the game particularly better looking, but it sure made the game clunkier.

They totally messed that up.
Platinum is what everyone thought Crystal would have been named (and rightly so). And Crystal should have been this gen's "third version." Red/Green/Blue/Yellow Gold/Silver/Platinum Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald Diamond/Pearl/Crystal See? That's so much better than "Gold/Silver/Crystal" or "Diamond/Pearl/Platinum." |

I played my cousin's Diamond version for like 5 minutes and I was 'Is everything supposed to be so slow'?

i guess some info breakdown (not confirmed) from serebii:
* Pokémon Platinum, set for September release. Giratina on the box * Volkner no longer gym leader of Sunyshore City * The Underground is now Wi-Fi enabled * An island called Battle Island, works in the same manner as the Battle Frontier * Several new Pokémon 'forms' exist in the game; Giratina's Origin Form, Regigigas' Sky Form, Shaymin's Another Form Edit @ 13:56 BST: Thanks to slowkingsley on the forums, we have some further info regarding these translated. Giratina & Regigigas' new forms are said to be able to get the Levitate ability and Shaymin's Another form may be at least part Ice Type Well, on a Japanese wiki, the first image from what appears to be the next CoroCoro has arrived. This single page scan shows Pokémon Platinum (confirmed as the name, although technically the Katakana says Platina, but that is generally the term the Japanese use for Platinum), Giratina in its Origin Form as well as what seems to be a new battle interface and potentially a new costume for the main character in Platinum as we see by the Blue character in front of Origin Giratina's Shadow in the overworld. We're awaiting other scans as well, hopefully to confirm this data as well as the other data we revealed yesterday, when the scans come in bigger size and quality. Here's the current scan for you to look at, however it is not be 100% confirmed yet: awesome. awesome. |
