UK :

GTA IV retains top spot in the All Formats Chart for a second week despite a massive 77% drop in sales. The record breaking Take 2/Rockstar title still outsells ‘Wii Fit’ at No2 by 4 to 1 this week, while the Xbox 360 version widens its sales advantage over the PS3 version by accounting for 62% of sales this week compared to 55% last week.
‘Wii Fit’ sales slip by 48%, but holds on to No2, while ‘Wii Play’ swaps places with ‘Mario & Sonic’, up from No4 to No3. Over the last 2 weeks the sales difference between ‘Wii Play’ and ‘Mario & Sonic’ has only been a matter of a few hundred units. Nintendo remains the most well represented All Formats Top 10 publisher with 4 games, while Sega now has 2 thanks to a strong 2nd week for ‘Iron Man: The Official Videogame’ up from No11 to No5. The remaining All Formats Top 10 titles all shuffle places with ‘Mario Kart Wii’ putting on the breaks, down from No5 to No9. Every remaining game in the All Formats Top 40 loses sales this week except ‘Carnival: Funfair Games’ from Take 2 with sales up 25%, climbing from No37 to No22. There are no new releases in the All Formats Top 40 and no changes at the top of each of the individual format charts.

Locally GTA is in stock, WiiFit & MarioKart are not. GTA has done very well considering it's the fastest selling game EVA combined across both formats. San Andreas took 3 weeks to get to a million and GTAIV did it in 2!

The drop off for GTA is an 80% reduction on PS3 and a 74% reduction on X360 so Xbox sales are more stable (as predicted due to the current UK install base).

Ed: Boom Blox made it into the Value top 40 which is a victory of sorts.
TWEWY never troubled the DS top 30 in it's 3rd week of sales. Unless it gets an unexpected £19.99 boost it's a miss for this one. :(
No sign of Ace Attorney 4 either - both of these were outsold by Ubisofts "Bunniez" which was one of many odd DS games to enter or climb this week. AA4 should get a low hit next week though - on the DS chart at least.
Dragon Quest Swords misses the Wii chart too. Price collapse pt.2? Should also enter low next week.

Whole chart is in a decline this week, but seems that new hardware is popular due to GTA and WiiFit.

So COD4 went down in sales but you are quite right in saying that the relative good performance of this and Halo 3 points to good hardware sales (although i'd lay odds that they are less than GTAIV week :D ). Hard to gage against PS3 sales as most just get the GTA pack, this is a similar price to X360 + GTAIV and a couple of extra games.

Next Week is the official - Football Season Over - Budget release of PES08 so expect that to shoot up, and the frankly baffling Dr. Who Top Trumps DS which is a £2.99 card game in a £25 package. :lol

The following week normal play resumes as Non game Fights Hardcore game with RockBand X360 going against Haze PS3.

The worldwide shipment is at 6,10 million as of March 31.

Wow at Mario and Sonic. Between the two versions it sold over 250K in March alone and it was released well before christmas. That's some mammoth legs right there.
