I assumed that this was The Crucible: Evil Within, the title that Silicon Knights are developing for SEGA.

Looks like a homeless man's Fable.

The combat definitely has SK written all over it, hope it turns out better looking than this video.

I am nearly positive there was a rumor that SK was making a game that had "crucible" in it's name.

Also, that's a tech demo. Music is probably placeholder. They have good folks there who do their music. Previous tech demos from them have used Gladiator music.

Wait, so this isn't the SK Sega game?

Well, Sega have trademarked The Crucible: The Evil Within, and are working with Silicon Knights, and Surfer Girl says The Crucible is SK's game, so it's probably theirs and not Big Huge Games. I think.

Combat looked MMO-bad. Keep in mind though that this is something that was never supposed to be shown to public. Pre-pre-pre-alpha.

I think the game shows potential, just from what I have seen, of course maybe its because I always thought MMO style would be good offline (yet didn't like FFXII :/)

For what I can only assume is an early trailer it certainly looks clean and smooth, which is more than you can say for most games. Doesn't exactly look terribly exciting either though.

If this is indeed SK game, than I am pretty sure it isn't intended to be shown to the public yet as DD has gone on the record to only say 'maybe' with regard to the Sega project and the chances of it being seen in 2008.

Edit: Also, the art design looks surprisingly unlike a SK game, it seems more Disney inspired (like something Sony Santa Monica would do) so I would be surprised if this is actually the new SK game.

It's totally SK. The tentacle beast. The combat. The groaning said beast makes.

Doesn't look very good but it's probably pre-alpha footage.

Proof right there this is SK's game.

If ever a company could find a way to hit the shit-luck branch all the way down the tree, it's SK.

Don't forget Sega - they have a looooong history of leaking materials of this nature months before they were ever intended to go public. I mean, some moron actually left the non-public press credentials login/password in plain sight on their Public Relations FTP.

What publisher wouldn't want a next-gen action adventure RPG with a narrative, scope and scale as epic as Lord of the Rings? After all, they've cut their teeth under Miyamoto-san and Kojima-san too! Surely, that counts for something...

Not to mention have put out some really REALLY good games, and did a damn good job with The Twin Snakes (disagree if you want but I think they did the job flawlessly)

Too Human has been delayed due to the engine its on, which has caused a lot of bad PR, but the fact of the matter is many MANY people have complained about said engine (UE3 I believe? cant remember >.<) its just one of them had the balls to say its bullshit that such a bad engine was released (note: I am not a game programmer, it could be a bunch of BS from SK, but from complaints from other devs and people picking apart the engine it seems like its a big problem?)

The biggest beef with me and them is that they only put out games on the 360 which I don't really want to buy so hopefully this game is really the one for PS3 (if it is the one from them?)

You're in every single Too Human/ Silicon Knights/ Denis Dyack thread. It's getting old. It's quite obvious where you stand man. No need to state it every thread.
