I wonder if it's going to be an adaptation of the manga. That looks like Mei to me in the upper left corner of that page. |

YESSSSSSSSSSSS
The manga is so awesome. It's not just a few new/different characters - it's a totally different story from the anime (it splits off very early). I cannot comprehend any fans of the anime not reading the manga, too, other than a lack of advertising (so inexcusable) Last edited by HisshouBuraiKen : 08-21-2008 at 04:33 AM. |

I actually enjoyed the previous anime until I started reading the manga and now I can't even watch it because of the differences. |

I hope this time around they stick to the source material, instead of making up lame plot choices and rewriting pieces like they did before, as the story in the manga is better than what they came up with at BONES and maybe this time I'll be able to enjoy watching it.

The author has said that she has an end to the manga in mind, and it's on what 19 or 20 in Japan? 16 or 17 here in the states? She's not ready to end it yet but things are really starting to ramp up. I think that it won't be more then 25 books.
I've always held off on watching the anime because I didn't want to spoil the manga, but now that I know they're completely different (and the author even likes how they ended the anime, although she has something very different in mind) is the anime worth watching? |

Here's hoping they start over from the beginning and don't kiddy things up again (the change to Ed's exam pissed me off). I think the new manga characters are a certainty. |

From what I've seen I actually like the dub a LOT more than the Japanese voices. I'd catch it on Adult Swim every so often but I liked the concept SO much that I wanted to see it all in order, start to finish. Then they started releasing the manga and I decided to read that first (not knowing that it wasn't actually done yet, oops) so I have yet to watch the anime. I'll check it out now, though, since it seems to be basically an alternate universe type of a thing.
