WOW @ Phantasy Star

Its MHP2 all over again.

I don't think it's quite there yet. It's going to maybe barely beat Crisis Core at this rate, which would be great, but not quite MHP-level yet, much less MHP2-level.

One might have said that after the first week... it's showing some legs, but it clearly is not going to have the longevity of MHP.

Did we get shipment numbers on Inazuma Eleven??

That is a very underwhelming number.

I do not understand Wii fit selling that much.

O.k, it's first party with huge marketing campaign... but just that. 2500000+ is too much.

really weird.

It looks a lot less fun than Brain Training which was in itself the oddest ball of all japanese DS million sellers.

I'm surprised Crisis Core didn't reach 1 million in Japan.

Also Sigma Harmonics got beaten by HaruToki was unforgivable >:I

I believe you misunderstand why these games are selling the way they are selling.

Not that they are not fun, but that's not the main reason the consumers are buying them like crazy.

so, has Mario Kart Wii beaten Wii Fit already?
;)

No. Not even close, yet. Regarding your other question, I may do a MK chart this week. That might be fun.

Last Week's:

Any other software chart requests that would be relevant this week? Does anybody care about the Winning Eleven series?

Huh? If you go by Famitsu, it should overtake SSBB this week or next.

you mean people buy Brain training to be less stupid and Wii fit to burn fat?

I don't think those reasons are more important than "having fun" in the minds of casuals.

Yeah, Phantasy Star Portable will probably inch towards 700k lifetime, which is still pretty good for Sega considering that its past titles on the PSP haven't done well at all.

...I'm hoping it's just because Memories Off 6 only got four days of the week to do sales that it did as low as it did.

Otherwise I don't think we're going to see another MO :(

As someone who bought both Wii Fit and Big Brain Academy, I disagree. :/

These games are selling because they fulfill a job almost no other games in the market try to tackle, which is improving one's life. Whether they succeed or not is irrelevant, since it's the perception of what they do what makes them sell.

That would be better then MHP then - last I checked MHP didn't break 700k until it got budget re-releases.

I don't think you understand the minds of casuals as you don't understand why wiifit is selling so much. Actually it is obvious you don't understand their minds.

Are those Famitsu numbers?

I really love how Rhythm Tengoku Gold and other games have pushed the DSL back on top.

why !! is it because the release date (being later than the other new games) ? or lack of hype ?

Lack of hype methinks. I have a feeling advertising is low key until the anime starts.

Seems akin to the first MHP I say. Maybe a re-release will push it over a million. :)

Perhaps the Wii version spurred sales? That doesn't seem right though, for it to chart higher than the Wii game. Was there a bonus for having the GCN game save data for the Wii game?

Lower price maybe? I remember Professor Layton got a sales boost when the sequel came out, although it didn't overtake it.

But according to some on here, the DS is on its last legs, and Nintendo needs to hurry up and replace it.

Get the import version, since the US version will no doubt be different in a number of ways.
