I haven't progressed much so far, i'm still in the creature stage. I've been having a heap of fun just messing around in it and creating heaps of stuff. Can't say i'm disappointed. I never really read much about the game, so i had almost non-existent expectations going in.
I find the visual style pretty charming. Last edited by Spotless Mind : 09-06-2008 at 04:16 AM. |

Here's a few shots of my Creature's adventures in the Creature stage. Sorry, no early shots of it as I wasn't aware of the screenshot function back then (but you can see my Creature in in earlier forms on my profile - http://www.spore.com/view/profile/farronfox ).

Saw this linked on a blog I go to once in a while and thought you guys would love it as much as I did.
A post containing Youtube videos of 13 Badass Spore Creatures that Aren't Penises, which include: - Solid Snake - a Viking ship, complete with rowers and dudes in Viking helms - Jesus on the cross - Bowser - Leonardo from TMNT - R2-D2 I liked the Viking ship and Bowser most -- the ship for the pure awesomeness, Bowser for how well it turned out. |

Space game is getting to be really really fun now. I finally have the atmospheric tools you don't have to buy ammo for, I've conquered three or four empires now, have four allies and have been set the goal to locate the Grox in the galactic center. Though I might hold off on that goal for a bit until I upgrade my UFO a bit more. Also finally unlocked the planet buster, though at 4M a pop, it ain't cheap :P. But on the other hand, I regularly do spice sales in excess of 1M now thanks to a ton of colonies terraformed to T2 or T3. Space game is definitely a lot of fun, I just wish it wouldn't be so frustrating early on, and that they'd just ease up a bit on eco missions/pirate raids/enemy aggressiveness. And it would be even better if there was some automatic way to generate money so you can just worry about colonizing new stuff and exploring the galaxy.

Ok that was a complete failure. No exterminate for me. The complexity limiter also kicked in way to early for my taste. :(
![]() But now I need to go back to actual play the damn game! ^^ But my "to do" list for the vehicle creators: Serenity Prometheus Daedalus X-301 (or was it 302? ah who cares!) Goa'uld mothership Also wanted to do a HL2 Strider, but there are no legs for it. :( Last edited by Won : 09-06-2008 at 10:36 AM. |

Just started the game, my nick is "pinkdejavu", add me if you want, i'll do the same with the names on the first page ^ ^
P.S. I'm running the game on a Macbook with a GMA 950 (yes, even if it says it's not supported), the game runs, well, not bad, but the creature creator has some problem ; D |

It's almost as good as an X800, and some (or all?) of the 9800pros were actually an X800 with disabled pipes (that you could unlock with some hardware mod) from the early point in X800 production when yields were low, and they didn't want to throw out mostly working GPUs. Is there a way to know? Does the "mini" happy ray work on people who super hate you? I guess I'll just work toward terraforming badges so I don't need to buy those stupid ammo things. Also: AIR UNITS ARE ONLY LIKE 3-5K WHY CAN'T MY STUPID COLONY MAKE DOZENZ OF AIR BOATS FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUCK. Also also: You never get a fleet and are stuck with your single UFO the whole time right? You can take allies ships (up to 2-3 so far for me) but I lose standing when they die. Which is often. Very often. Last edited by Hazaro : 09-06-2008 at 02:55 PM. |

Computers made in past 2 years, it will run fine Any computer with an actual graphics card you can basically max it out It's because the view distance is crap and it doesn't have to render much. Now, someone help me god dammit |

Does the number or spice geysers improve their spice production? It also seems better to get every planet you colonize to T3 first so it's easier to protect... |

And yes, T3 is very much preferred for all colonies, and pretty easy when you get those powers that just depend on energy. Last edited by Kabouter : 09-06-2008 at 03:22 PM. |
