You are buying it from the US?

14-15 hours. Tanods threads have said 2/5 but I usually check for updates at 3/6 myself. When updates are late it is usually only 2 or 3 hours late. Meaning at worst it should be 18 hours from now.

Nope, raw from the game. Xs.to might be reducing the JPG quality though, they look better from within the XMB.

i dont get what true next gen wipeout means?

if they call this game wipeout 4 or whatever, then i will believe them. the game has every next gen feel into it. to the point i am really surprised its only 20 $.

It's probably the whole "no new tracks" thing.

I'm sure they'll be releasing new tracks in time.

Well, they made it clear that all planned DLC has already been included into the game and none additional was planned as of yet.

BUT, if this game sells as well as it SHOULD, I wouldn't be surprised if Sony made an announcement in the coming months. DLC in the form of new tracks (whether completely original or HD remakes of say, the PSX WO game tracks) makes perfect sense at this stage (where there have been great reviews and off the chart fanfare for this game).

I could be a minority here, but I think this is a system seller. I've said it before, I think Sony should consider pre-loading this game on specially packaged PS3s that sell for only $20 more. Pop it in a sexy box with WipEout art...and I think that would sell very well.

I'm with you. At least here in the UK, it was WipEout that sold the original PlayStation. Not releasing WHD on Blu-ray is madness.

Pretty naive to believe that they're not already working on DLC, or that they haven't even finished some. I believe $20 is just the tip of the iceberg in regards to owning the "complete" Wipeout HD experience.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure PSN used to be updated around 9/10am GMT (just like Xbox Live is) but it now seems to be around 5pm. :(

The Euro store has always been about 6/7pm for me... a pain, because I'd prefer to download Wipeout HD before going to work, so I could play it the second I got home, instead of waiting for it to dl tonight. Oh well.

In the future i really hope Sony implement a function that lets you buy/pay for the game before its released , much like a pre-order, and then implement some sort of script/code that automatically dowload and install the game for you. So at release day the only thing you have to do is start your console and play! :)

I might have to since my Credit Card stopped working earlier this year, and there are no PSN cards in Canada.

If I can't find those a VISA pre paid card that is 100% confirmed to work, I may have to just so I can get it now, and then buy my own copy when PSN cards do hit Canada.

Really sucks considering that my CC worked just fine since the PS3 launch.
