Maybe not "traditional" wipEout music, but I think it'll sound great, especially "Milkshake."

Definitely putting on superdiscount 1+2. Superdiscount 2 has some mad tracks. Super Discount 2 "poisoned" track is a MUST. Worth checking out. * edit

the lyrics in Poisoned at the latter end of the tune is

"PUSH PUSH... PUSH PUSH. PUSH PUSH PUSH PUSH". very very frenetic. Will really amp your gameplay. I'm getting goosebumps listening to this now.

And... gotta have some GIRL TALK - feed the animals. Love the mad blend + frenetic mixup.

Clark - Turning Dragon - hard to descibe but hard industrial industrial techno with mechanical beats? Really amazing. You will love this. Track One New Year Storm with its mechanised marching sound is insane.

I'm going to try and pick some songs that fit the electronic mold of WipEout, but not as closely tied to the style of their past soundtracks. These picks all have a different style. Give them all a listen, ya'll.
---------------------------------

:wumpscut: - Hard to Bear A very good instrumental from :wumpscut:. Once the main melody kicks in, it fits the vibe of WipEout.

Celldweller - The Last Firstborn This is a electro-industrial song that blends a bit of Oakenfold, Slipknot and The Prodigy. No, really. You'll see what I mean if you listen to it.

Celldweller - Stars of Orion This is a pretty raw sounding Drum 'n Bass track from Celldweller. Very aggressive.

I:Scintilla - Cursive Eve This is a great track with a very powerful sounding chorus from a female lead singer. It has that certain mystique that makes it WipEout worthy.

Necessary Response - Spilling Blood A very melodic darker electronic track. With vocals. Good listen.

Nightbreed - Pack of Wolves (Pendulum Remix) Yes, this might be a Pendulum remix, so a lot of their traditional song styles are in this song, but it's a very kickin' DnB track that perfectly fits the fast paced nature of the game.

The Octopus Project - Music is Happiness Okay, not really an electronica band, but there are some small elements of it within this fast paced song. Very thrilling sound to it.

The Prodigy - Razor Yes, I am the 1,000th person to add a track from The Prodigy, but this is a good one. And hey, it least it isn't Firestarter.

Razed in Black - Leave it All Behind Nice pounding beat, and a good melody to boot. A favorite of mine.

Stabbing Westward - Torn Apart (Remix) You've heard this song in trailers and commercials before.

DJ Deeon - Akceier 8 (DJ Deeon Original Mix)

Essit Muzique - Essit Muzique 1
Infiniti - Game One

Vargo - Beauty

I've used this track with both Excite Truck and Wipeout Pulse and I think it really suits racing games a lot. It's cool, but the beat is pretty fast and I don't know, it's just an awesome track it starts a little slowly though :p

International Pony - Superyou (Clean version)

You can't go wrong with such an awesome name, once again, it's a pretty slow but extremely catchy track, it will make you want to go faster!

My first list was pretty heavy on DNB, maybe I should make something with 90s techno and acid house. Robert Armani, Acid Junkies, Claude Young, Thomas Peter Heckmann, Mike Ink, Cristian Vogel, Roland Casper, hmmm *walks over to the cd rack*

i think Wipeout needs more hard/progressive trance and house and less breaks n beats/electronica......more BT, armin van buren, ronski speed, paul van dyk, and such.

i absolutely loved sashas 'Xpander' in Wipeout 3 on PS1......i used to carry the actual game disc in my CD player and kept it permanently on that track :D

It's a pity PSN does not allow pre-download of games (like Steam), as I want everything ready to do the minute it's released
