I guess I'm in the minority but I loved the N64 Castlevania games.
So listen up Konami... Please make this game a platform adventure,no horseshit rpg leveling elements,no back tracking. Its been done to death and is beyond stale already. Just a straight forward 3D adventure that uses the power of these next gen. machines. |

I'd love to be wrong about this but us Castlevania fans have been clamoring for another 2D home console Castlevania since 1997, so I don't expect this to be. The only thing remotely close was Castlevania Chronicles, which was a fairly ho-hum remake. Once it became fairly clear that 3D Castlevania was very hit-or-miss (depends on who you talk to, but I'd wager most would call them misses) people have asked for 2D or 2.5D CV and they (Iga?) haven't really honed in on that sentiment in over a decade.
But yes, I very much wish to be proven wrong in a grand manner here. |

Take DMC4, replace Dante with Alucard, have everything take place in one huge castle with metroid-like structure, give it an action rpg style inventory system and character growth, and you're all set. |

I completely disagree the animation in DB looks more fluid and superior to Odin Sphere not to mention a hell of a lot faster. Reminds me of GGXAC. The GT video was gimped try the gamekyo video instead. It's not direct feed and it's annoyingly zoomed in but you can clearly see how smooth the animation is compared to OS.

Curse of Darkness was a step in the right direction, they just need to spruce up the color palette and level design. I don't think Iga can conceptualize a metroidvania as a 3d action adventure, but there are plenty around so maybe he's bringing in someone to help him.
