Some questions about the level editor:
- How exactly do you go about making levels like Meerkat Bounce and that Tetris clone - the way they spawn the items? - In the mini-games that have you spawn elsewhere after you die, how exactly do they go about doing that? Would having the checkpoint move to the end after you've activated it work? - How do you make an infinite platform-type thing that only ends when you die? So are we still missing GameSpot and 1up reviews? Anymore?
I guess they won't come out until they get a chance to test the servers.

I'm afraid that Mm haven't quite taken that into account enough and are hoping a bit more for a fun, polite, family sort of thing where everyone has fun in a great, charming manner. I just foresee problems.

So I'd say... around 12 hours or so, but I'm not 100% on the objects, in fact I have maybe a couple stages around 70%-80% and a few other in the 90%'s. Hard? Fuck yeah it was hard. Some areas were quite hard but cool and not annoying, but some other were a bit cheap (and annoying because you have to restart the stage again to get the 'Ace'). Of course, as I said, I have yet to get 100% in all the stages and now there's the whole Create mode and the thousands user-created stages to play. So this game won't get 'boring' for quite a loooooooooooong time :) |

Seems like this wasn't posted yet. Edge's review is now online at http://www.edge-online.com/magazine/...e-edge-verdict.
It ends pretty well I think:

Some days ago we had a shot discussion here about how to place perfectly straight rods or pistons over a long distance. People asked for those tools to stick to the grid. I offered video evidence that it is possible to extend them straight even without them sticking to the grid.
Well, I now discovered you can have rods and pistons extending perfectly vertically or horizontally without the grid and without being cautions with the pointer. All you need to do is bring up the rod/piston tweaking menu BEFORE placing it and then make it stiff. When actually placing it, you'll see you can only extend it along the axes. |

Did a search and could not find the answer.
I pre-ordered online at Gamestop and got my Kratos Promo code e-mailed to me since it was online. I tried to enter it last night and it came up invalid. Are the e-mailed promo codes working already? Thanks! |

ZOMG new patch is out.
Downloading 1.02 right now. 57MB (1.01 was about 45MB IIRC) *Prays for servers to be up* Will edit this post with differences I see. First thing I'll do is check the blasphemous song... (installing now) UPDATES - Servers are NOT up yet :( - Blasphemous music is still there BUT THEY REMOVED ALL THE LYRICS. It's just the music. - Everything else looks the same. Sticky issue is still there. Last edited by TTP : 10-23-2008 at 02:41 PM. |

Not sure if it's already been posted, but there's a video here of a (rather empty) LBP 'brand space' in a shopping centre near Covent Garden in London:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/guy_cocker/2964434584/ Apparently it may be travelling around various places, but it's there until Nov 15. They should serve free coffee and stuff. The place has an artsy coffee shop vibe, that's the only thing missing :p |
