So my Silent Hill theme is finally available . . . on the PSN store :)
#1
So yeah, Sony didn't hire me to do PS3 themes. But Konami, on the other hand . . . well, it's official, shall we say? The Silent Hill 5 homecoming theme is available on the PSN store, and I don't have to sacrifice anymore bandwidth
It was in the works for a while, and it's FINALLY up on the PSN store so I can finally talk about it. :) It is the first of, hopefully many more official themes (as opposed to the standard 'unofficial themes') that I will be crafting for Konami. At this point, I can't talk about any future projects as I am under NDA (how odd does that sound?). But I can at least talk about completed work. Sooooo ... ![]() The SH5 theme incorporates an entirely custom icon set representing many of the recurring images and objects in the series (The radio, Robbie the Rabbit, Pyramid Head, the nurses, etc.) as well as some of the runic elements used in the newest game. I tried to give them the appearance of rust / dried blood, which I think worked out pretty well :) ![]() The wallpapers were made using a combination of game imagery as well as concept art -- They can actually be downloaded separately from the PSN store as well. All for free, of course. I'm not quite up there with TeamDZN, I know, but I'll try and manage. Last edited by m0dus : 10-17-2008 at 05:03 AM. |

Stop congratulating and download it :p I want to make sure it meets expectations. We had like 4 polls and it always aaaaaalmooooooostttt won. Which was beyond frustrating for those people really pushing for it to be made

Well this way, I can put up a theme without fear of someone ripping the icons, tossing in a few stolen deviantart wallpapers and reuploading it as one of their own . . . :)

Awesome work, buddy. My only complaint is that you don't have a Power Save icon, but it's great otherwise.

....this explains SO MUCH!
Seriously, I downloaded the theme, set it up, and was like "woah, what? Why do the icons all look freaking thematically correct and awesome?" And now, there's this thread. Go figure. Seriously, half the time, when some company pumps out a theme, its the laziest shit ever, even for Sony's own products. Yay for m0dus (Mirror's Edge, I'm looking at you)Last edited by Darkpen : 10-17-2008 at 04:45 AM. |

Modus you're a VERY talented guy and i'm really happy for you that you can make money off your art.
CONGRATS! (maybe you were already in some imagery job but if it's the case i didn't know). |

will download.....great work man....
but I won't use it as a background....take that as a compliment..... that looks tooo creepy man... the lighting :O .... I can picture something walking towards the front of my T.V. (The Ring style) when I'm scrolling through the XMB hint hint you should have a theme where there is a person way in the background and every time the background changes that person slowly gets closer Last edited by Afrikan : 10-17-2008 at 05:00 AM. |
