Judging from the PR, it also seems like the "revolutionary" feature letting you sing songs from your MP3 is more or less the song playing, with a rendered video showing in the background. But hopefully there's more to it than that. Also, what I guess is the final packaging: ![]() Last edited by Manager : 10-23-2008 at 03:02 PM. |

It was inevitable that the import your own mp3 feature would be gimped. How else could they sell the DLC?
Still, not bad track list. Will probably get this. PS - I wonder if the wireless mic will work with Rock Band? Would be nice to have a wireless mic instead of wired. |

Not different enough to get me interested.. Not saying it isn't good, and 360 owners or multi-console owners without singstar should definitely give this (or singstar) a look. For me though.. I already have around 60+ songs invested in singstar not to mention a bunch of PS2 discs just waiting for the game update. To get me interested Lips would have either needed to offer major gameplay differences (which it doesn't) or major artistic differences (which it doesn't). This is basically SingStar for the 360, which is fine, unless you already have SingStar for the PS3.
edit - fwiw, I am not blown away by this track list, much like I am not blown away by any of the singstar track lists. are record companies that freaking apprehensive of the industry to consistently hold back their biggest and best songs? of course I know the answer to that |

Shame about the lack of lyrics for mp3s but I guess it's to be expected.

About 90% of the songs have been in one Singstar or another.
What will be more interesting is to see how their Store works out and if certain labels will offer tracks on it or not (especially Universal who haven't been licensing the big hits for the Singstore for one reason or another). |
