Wastes hours checking old Famitsu software data, but that's why we love him.

Actually... that's a fairly good way of testing the pixel theory because we have released NPD data to cover those periods.
USA 2008 (Jan - Aug Inclusive NPD): Wii: 4,491,000 PS3: 2,018,400 360: 1,741,000 Are we sure it's not to the end of September which would give us: USA 2008 (Jan - Sep Inclusive NPD): Wii: 5,178,000 PS3: 2,250,800 360: 2,088,200 [Edit - It must be... which means that the pixel theory is pretty accurate] Last edited by Psychotext : 10-31-2008 at 04:11 PM. |

Good news for Nintendo: Or how Wii and DS are #1 and #2 in hardware and software in US and Other
DS creams PSP in Europe. ![]() Wii software sales defeat 360 and PS3 software sales in US. ![]() Wii and DS the software kings in US. More evidence that the top 10 NPD are useless to guesstimate relative total software sales. ![]() Wii and DS software account for more than half of total software market in Europe. Sonyland is no more. ![]() Wii and DS software sales reaching the half way mark of total US software market. ![]() DS #1, Wii #2 in Europe. ![]() ![]() Wii strongest platform for third parties for US at respective points since launch. ![]() First party sales strongest in Wii in US (ultra-obvious one). ![]() Add them together, Wii the clear software winner in US, launches aligned. ![]() Additionally: Global million sellers: DS: 69 (39 third party million sellers) Wii: 36 (21 third party million sellers) Bad news for Nintendo: Japanese market DS increases its installed base at a slower rate this year in Japan. ![]() Still on par with previous precedent though. ![]() Good news for Nintendo: ![]() |
