Why can't covers be simplistic anymore. The range of MGS4 covers was the worst thing, to see and compare what they think different people want.

Damn they should used this as box art.

how is that bland boxart AT ALL better than the official one? Sony Marketing knows what they are doing with that boxart, I can imagine people seeing the glowing Helghast in a store going "whoa whats that" Not some simplistic white backround.

I'm not judging it based on how effective a marketing image it is. I'm judging it on what I want to own and look at for years.

I know the SP embargo is in December, but has there been any word at all about how long the campaign will be?

I imagine that people won't notice the cover that much against numerous similar covers. It's pretty standard fare as far as shooters go.

Armed person with dark background of destruction motif.

Heavily armoured guy staring out motif.

I don't think they anyone can disclose any of that information right now.

BUT, I remember something distinctive about 45-50 mins to finish each level, from somewhere.

Jeff Haynes from IGN is in Amsterdam for Killzone 2 and they have the preview with all the levels in the office now. Didn't say anything about it but they said it has some awesome trophies.

This year, the game is facing a plethora of competition and is also dated in some respects. There's no denying that the story of Bioshock absolutely demolishes the other two, but it IS missing key aspects. Ultimately, the technical and multiplayer achievements of both UTIII and COD4 put them just barely over Bioshock. I can't simply rate a game based on its single-player merits, that wouldn't be fair.

didn't play the other two, but I wouldnt have even scored bioshock that high...and I played it on the pc... Extremely linear game, the narrative is well implemented, but also extremely minimal...and an extremely flat ending. Also though fontaine was a bit of a crappy villain.

The chirp sounds from kills and medic heals are soooo awesome. It is a constant reward while playing.

Fuck, they've just got so much right with this game it's insane.

I think you scored all of them too high. None are even a 9 IMO. To say KZ2 is better than those games isn't saying much too me because it should be.

Now that people are talking about Bioshock a little. Could someone please PM me the twist that was "So awesome, and surprising"? I played up until the artist and killing the piano player. I was sent on some fetch and got fed up. The people in the official PS3 bioshock thread didn't want to tell me, and laughed at me for never being able to find out now that I quit it.

I don't think I've ever seen someone try as hard as you're trying to find reasons to dislike a game

Who said I didn't like the game. It not my fault most people around here think average games are fantastic. There really aren't alot of great games but so many of you and reviewers apparently think there are a ridiculous amount of them. I just look at the amount of games that get 9's and laugh. It's a joke.

O_O, that didn't really make sense because there are 3 gifs floating out there that define the term physics-based money shot.

No, you really have to find out for yourself. Reading about it is not nearly as "awesome and surprising" as actually experiencing it.

Really? I mean, I know that I'm above average with UTIII, but that's about it. I guess you feel the games were overrated as whole, since the average on GR for COD4 and Bioshock are 94 and 95. But enough with that, this is kinda' getting OT.

I don't mind not being surprised. I deleted the save file, and uninstalled the game. I'm not playing it again. Looking at speed runs make it hard to hear what the radio is saying if they actually activate the audio message.

Ooh is this a hint? I looked at the bioshock episode of hey Ash, what are you playing (gametrailers, butchered title). They had a lot of "would you kindly".

Oh is the guy over the radio Andrew? Or does he have a ability to control minds with atom? "Would you kindly pick up the crowbar or something"

I always thought it was odd that the main character helped him with everything such as finding his family. The whole time I wondered why that guy that died at the start came all the way where I was, and now I'm doing stuff like the dead guy for a person over a radio. It has to be a mind control plasmid.

It's too bad the beta is so limited, otherwise people would manage to realize what a worthless bunch these pseudojournalists are.

XD

Even when you watch all of the videos, it's kind of hard to grasp exactly how they play. The way the class system works was really different than how i pictured it.

The only thing I would say about the game is that things take forever to be unlocked.
You have to play several hours to unlock the medic. I think some classes should be open from the start.

Sorry about all of this off topic.

I found it though. Thanks for the hint stuburns. It was at youtube search "Bioshock - Would You Kindly?"

After seeing it, it wasn't really worth playing through again to me. Neat but not amazing. I didn't obey heh, I got fed up with his fetch quests. I win.

Also I guess that's why the guy was so adamant on me harvesting the little sisters. I was like, "shut the crap up dude. I'm not doing it." Also why he was able to stop the lady from killing me the first time I went near a little sister to free her.

Makes it sound like they only played one round in Salamun Market since that level doesn't have a whole lot of environmental interaction. It's a very well-designed level but the other two levels in the beta have much more deformation and physics-based interaction

I didn't want to flat out say it because I do think it's better to play it first hand, and worth playing for generally. But if I got you the answer you wanted, then that's cool.

Nah, I kinda understand it a bit. I see how it could have been as good of a twist as so many said it was. I'm glad I didn't have to play it again ti find out. Thank you, I really mean it. I'm now thinking about the stuff I went through, the behaviors of the characters and such. Yea it was a good twist.
