Jesus christ DevelopmentArrested, do you play games for a living?
Anyway: Gears of War 2 Just finished it yesterday, thought it was incredible. Great action, great settings, fantastic music, excellent variety and hands down the best graphics I've ever seen in a console game (I don't have a PS3, calm down Killzone 2 fanboys). It's not my GOTY, but really very nearly. Saints Row 2 Already finished it, but just been messing around some more in the open world, which unlike in SR1, Volition has really succeeded in making fun this time. And there's a lot they succeeded in where they failed in in the first game, whilst maintaining all that made the first game fun to play. Only thing I wish was that the 80's music station had more tracks. Driving over gang members whilst Karma Chameleon is playing is funny the first time, but not the 18th time :P. Bully: Scholarship Edition Got a little further in this. I'm still not too happy about the quality of the PC port, but the game is excellent. It's not quite up to GTA levels, mostly because doing stuff outside of activities/missions isn't as fun, but it s really very good. I encourage anyone interested in the concept to pick it up, just don't pick up the PC version. Also played an hour or two of Anno 1701, which I won't get into, I've written enough on that game in these threads I think :P. Oh, and I checked out the Left 4 Dead demo, which was excellent, plan on picking that up day one. |

Finished up Mirror's Edge on Wednesday, played a little Smackdown 2009, Valkyria Chronicles, Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 and FIFA Manager 09 in preparation for upcoming (and obviously belated) reviews, and had a quick bash of the Left 4 Dead demo with my brother and a few of his friends.

Gears of War 2 co-op when I have a chance. Resistance 2 between Gears sessions. Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia in my DS before bed. Gonna start Mirror's Edge once I finish R2. After ME & GOW2 are done I'll start Fallout 3 and/or LittleBigPlanet. Fuuuuck.

Goemon's Great Adventure
![]() Got all 44 passes after beating the (very long) final level. I think I have to buy some expensive costumes now or something, will investigate tommorrow. EDIT: got all (12) costumes after a fair bit of money grinding. Nothing happened. At least I can see Yae in a Bikini on N64 3D Thus, this game is concluded.Stafi 2 ![]() Doing Extra Mode Last edited by Allan Holdsworth : 11-16-2008 at 02:03 AM. |

What's the point of this thread? I like Kabounter's post since it actually commented a little and gave some impressions, but every other post is just a bullet point list of games. It's like if these gaming podcasts, they did the "whatcha been playin" segment and each person just said " Mirrors Edge, Gears 2 and some Halo 3. Next." Seems kind of pointless if there's no discussion to be had...

Fallout 3:
Have gotten a fair ways into it now, around ~30 hours, many sidequests done and hit level 18 yesterday. Good stuff, very addicting game that pulls you back all the time. Gotta love Bloody Mess + The Terrible Shotgun <3 MotorStorm: Pacific Rift: This game is pure fun. Wasn't that wow'd by the graphics when I started playing, but then the other maps opened up with different time-of-day settings, and then it just clicked. Awesome game. I'll also probably get LBP any day now, still surprised I haven't picked it up yet. |

![]() Started again on hard after messing up the suit selection on normal (Just wanted to see what the download suits look like. :(). It's hard, surprisingly. Also some more: ... when I don't feel in the mood for Dead Space and when my eldest daughter wants to play it. |

Gears of War 2 - Enjoyed the campaign, even if the ending was incredibly weak, and a huge letdown, but then again, I wasn't really playing for the story, I just wanted a more involved final fight. If it wasn't for horde mode I'd probably not be playing this more than once a week, but thanks to horde it's getting played nightly.
Fallout 3 - Taking my time with this one, playing it for an hour hear and there whenever nobody is online for some horde. Very enjoyable, but I'm not sure where it ranks for me, mostly due to playing the top notch Saints Row 2 and Fable 2 in the weeks before. Left 4 Dead demo - Tried it, honestly, not impressed. Horde mode in Gears feels more fun and strategic, and unlike Left 4 Dead, comes with a ton of other modes. If I had a decent pc I may feel differently, but as it stands, not worth $60 to me. Banjo Kazooi - Never played this one before admittedly, had given up on and sold my N64 by then, but it's fun enough. I hate how OCD I am in these collect-a-thons, but this one seems varied enough thus far to keep it interesting. Rock Band 2 - Still my goty, very little chance of it being dethroned. Vigilante 8 Arcade - Downloaded, but seems to be a sparse community thanks to the timing of the release. Sad really, as there isn't much fun to be had single-player. |

too many games, not enough time to properly play even one of them :(. Even the summer drought has too many games for me...
bought recently - LBP - Rock Band 2 - Guitar Hero World Tour - Motorstorm 2 Trying to avoid buying too much that I won't play, so I signed up for lovefilm rental in the UK and added - Mirrors Edge - Fallout 3 - Resistance 2 - Call of Duty - Far Cry 2 - De Blob no way they'll get anywhere near enough play, but maybe some of the rentals will stand out enough for me to buy. |

Fallout 3, and before that I beat Dead Space.
With all these games I have gone to a strict policy that I will finish one before I move onto another. I'm lovin' Fallout 3.....I've played it a lot more than I would like to say. I'm really taking my time with it. Awesome game. |

Finished Saint's Row 2 the other day, and now I'm not sure if I should play Fable II or Fallout 3 next. I need to finish up Tenchu 4 and Castlevania OoE as well.
Also got Gears 2 and Resistance 2 and played a bit of both; I like them both but it seems pretty clear that Gears 2 is going to much better and get more play time out of me. And I'm still re-playing the Left 4 Dead demo over and over again. |

GameFly:
Rented and beat the following games. Golden Axe Beast Rider,Guitar Hero World Tour, and tonight I beat Viking Battle For Asgard. Currently playing dead Space,on chapter III. Gonna send Viking back tomorrow and have them send me the new Tomb Raider game on the 20th. Umm the one thing I love about GameFly,its like being a kid again. You know when you would rent a game and you only had so much time to play and beat it before the game had to go back? Well I get that same sense of urgency with GameFly. Ok sure, I know I can keep the game for as long as I pay each month, but I want to be able to move on and enjoy other games to rent. It just puts a fire under my ass to play and beat the games nowdays, something I haven't done in years. All too many times I use to buy the games, play them for a few days, and then let them sit and collect dust while they were never beaten, amassing some horrible bloated catalog. Screw that from now on,if anything GameFly sorta rejuvenated my passion for playing and BEATING games again. ![]() |
