DS is back. The sell through rate of Rhythm Tengoku and Pokémon is insane after so many weeks. xD

That's now the 16th week with RTG in the Top10. o_O

Kirby could break the million - mark, too, would be the 25th million seller. <_<

With Dragon Quest VI and IX the DS would have 27 million sellers. xD

I think it's more a matter of Nintendo no longer providing DS Lites, but don't hold me to that. There have been some rather harsh reports from smaller retailers though.

The first Resistance sold quite well in Japan from what I believe (over 100k, although it slowly increased), so I'm not really surprised.

I'm a bit surprised Wii Music fell off quick, since I thought that might have done a better job in Japan (since RB/GH pretty much rule NA).

Did the DSi come with some kind of inability to play Pokemon Diamond/Pearl or Platinum?

It was #11 last week so why did anyone expect it to be in the Top 10, the more important thing is did it fall only a bit or has the bottom dropped out of its legs

Well to be fair, it can't play any of the five mainline GBA iterations, and you won't be able to transfer pokeymans from those games to D/P, either.

That is correct, but most anyone who has D/P and wants to "collect them all" would already have a DS or DSL to be able to do that.

But it still does not stop the core games D/P to be played

That's compensated by the fact that you can catch most of the RBY/RSE legendaries in Platinum.

The rest should come in the GSC remake

I think Shiren DS 2's 45k are sub par, it will end at 100k level, while the first one is on 200k level, but there is a stiff conpetition among DS lite/DSi software releases.

Wii Music has IMHO sort of legs.
