They cancelled the PS2 version too, it became a Wii exclusive. It was soooo damn bad...got it from Gamefly and sent it back within half hour

The first one was really good fun for the time, but I'm not too sure how it will hold up with some other games expanding on the open world side of things. Shame for PS3 only owners though.

You know, for once I wish this would happen in reverse (IE: 360 version canned instead of PS3 version) I want to pick up a PS3 but I have little reason too, as most of the third party offerings are the same.

Valkyria Chronicles. Used to be a 360 game. That version cancelled during development and became PS3 only.

I know someone who was a closed beta tester for the PS2/Wii versions. He said the whole thing was a train wreck and it almost was cancelled across the board. Whatever is left is probably whatever they could throw together with the last 20 dollars they had.

The same THQ that cancelled Frontlines: Fuel of War PS3 version. That had pissed me off. This doesn't surprise me. I guess people with BC PS3's could buy/rent a PS2 copy if they want to play the game...

THQ also canceled Saint's Row on PS3 (the first one) and WWE Smackdown 2007. I heard somewhere that Volition (who is owned by THQ I believe) doesn't even have testers for PS3 games, since PS3 development kits are more expensive and THQ just doesn't have the money to have more (so that may explain why a lot of games get canceled). I heard that Sony really spent a lot of time helping Volition with Saint's Row 2 (compared to before when they didn't assist a lot).
