Nintendo’s ‘Wii Fit’ looks in great shape at the top of the All Formats Chart as an 18% jump in sales pushes it up 3 places to No1, relegating last week’s chart topper ‘FIFA 09’ off the top spot and dropping to No4 (sales down 35%). It’s a close run thing between the top 3 with just over 2,500 sales separating ‘Wii Fit’ at No1 and ‘Lord of the Rings’ at No3. ‘Wii Play’ (-19%) is a non-mover at No5, ahead of ‘Need for Speed: Undercover’ (-52%) which skids from No3 to No6. ‘Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games’ (-29%) and ‘Guitar Hero: World Tour’ (-34%) both keep their grip on the All Formats Top 10 - ‘Mario & Sonic’ a non-mover at No7 and ‘Guitar Hero’ down 2 places to No8. Continued strong sellers on Wii and DS make up the last two spots with ‘Carnival: Funfair Games’ (-18%) slipping back into the Top 10, up from No11 to No9 and the evergreen ‘Dr Kawashima Brain Training’ (-17%) is up from No13 to No10. Other than ‘Wii Fit’ there are only 2 other All Formats Top 40 titles that see sales gains this week. They are ‘Grand Theft Auto IV’ (+26%), up from No33 to No18 thanks to a retailer price promotion and ‘Halo 3’ (+20%), back in the Top 40 at No29. The release this week of ‘Mirror’s Edge’ on PC can’t stop EA’s adventurous new IP from falling from No23 to No27 (-38%).

The only reason i can think of is that the PS3 got casual so people play games by there names and brand and not by the fact how they games actually are. The 360 is casual anyway with a pricepoint under 200 €.

I guess it has something to do with shipments. Capcom won't release the Xbox 360 Street Fighter IV Limited Edition in Europe(except the UK) but they will release the PS3 version. It's also the reason why the PS3 sales are pretty close to Xbox 360 here, because most retailers and importers still prefer to work with Sony.

That's why Nintendo's numbers and victories are stunning, Europe has always been pro-Sony(and pro-SEGA) before Wii and DS hit.

Do we know how those revenue charts work exactly? Do they add up the units sold for each retailer x what the retailer sold them for? Do they work off RRP x units?

(This isn't about LBP, I'm just interested as it seems the first way would be a lot more work)

Again, it only means that they are cheaper, not that they are bundled or discounted more.

The games that are above LBP in the unit chart but below in the value chart are Brain Training, More Brain Training, Wii Play and Carnival Games. All of these games are significantly cheaper by default than LBP, so it is entirely possible for LBP to be discounted and still perform like this in the charts. There are most likely not any significant discounts (certainly not as much as Halo 3), but there's no basis for concluding that it's less discounted than the games above it in the unit chart.
