team superduperawesome and its team full of people with first initial J will blitz this league. Just you wait.
(I'm very curious to see which of my teams - this one or the dreamteam one - do better as I actually thought about my dreamteam one somewhat, whereas this one is just all the Joshs, then Jasons, etc, etc) |

Less than one week until season 2009 starts!
The official season launch took place in Melbourne today, its always amusing to look at the official portraits of the club captains trying to look tough. Nick Riewoldt - St Kilda Chris Newman - Richmond Jonathan Brown - Brisbane Lions Dominic Cassisi - Port Adelaide |

Those captain photos are great. Tom Harley looks like an evil genius with plots for world domination. And Sam Mitchell is fittingly standing in some kind of superhero pose ready to stop him.Commercial is pretty meh. Would like to see it on my tv rather than a crappy little youtube version, though. |

Terry Wallace will not last the year. |

The 'real' league starts in Round 4, so you can still join the league. Fev did well ![]() PS Richmond, well, should keep trying. It's not all bad till about 6 games in, then Wallace will be under real pressure. |

He's had 5 years to turn the list around and he's got high quality players playing a style of footy which has killed all their confidence and playing like scared amateurs. I can't stand Terry Wallace. He's a spin doctor in the extreme who does not deserve the reputation as a "mastercoach" that he seems to have attained. He's got nothing on his resume to prove otherwise. The way Richmond played last night has that horrible look of a team that has lost faith in their coach and their gameplan. Terry has a couple of months to stop the rot or he is on borrowed time. The poor bastards have the Cats next week, it could get very ugly. |

I've never understood the hype for Wallace either. What exactly has he ever acheived? As far as I can tell the best he ever did was taking the bulldogs to the prelims in 97 and 98, only to be beat by the crows both times. Big woop. But when Richmond got him you would have sworn they'd recruited jesus.
Also, seeing cousins get injured is hilarious to me. Just the way it coupled with the absolute trashing in what was an amazingly overhyped 'showdown' just amused me. |

Went to the Collingwood vs Adelaide game on Saturday (Crows fan here). What a win.
But damn, I already knew the Pies' fans were feral, but the guys I was sitting next to took it to a whole new level. Q: What has 37 legs and 9 teeth? A: The Collingwood Cheer Squad. |
