Tricky Defense Force reporting for duty. But yes it's a shame to see it disappear when we never got an HD sequel and when the main series hadn't gotten the least bit stale or suffered a drop in quality at all (some, like me, prefer Tricky to 3 but it's certainly not for any lack of innovation or quality in 3).
One of the best series of last gen, and certainly a fairly big seller and it just kind of disappeared off the face of the earth. Moore kind of mentioned it offhand as the kind of game that EA Sports needs to return to but we'll see. |

SSX3 was great, they need to make another game along those lines asap.

I blame the French!!!
SSX3 was developed by EA Canada, aka the guys in Vancouver, the snowboarder's mecca. No wonder they made one of the best games for the PS2. SSX On Tour was made by both EA Canada and EA Montreal. It was not nearly as beautiful. While the tracks were longer the cost for that was to lose the graphical hotness. It was a dull and dirty game, like Quebec in the winter. It also added skiing, which is worthless, and another sure sign of a Montrealer's meddling. So now it seems the game is in limbo with something of an identity crisis. |

Blur wasn't even made by the original SSX team, was it? The last game from that group, On Tour, was released nearly four years ago. They are (were?) easily one of EA's best teams. I hope they weren't split up. |

I absolutely hated On Tour with a passion, they stripped the game of all its personality and pretty much everything that was ever good about it. I loved SSX3 though, it was my favourite in the series and I'd LOVE to see SSX come back... just as long as they don't muck it up as much as On Tour.

Man, SSX Tricky was just one big awesome party of a game. I've been watching some vids on YouTube, brings back great memories - this game mastered fun:

The reception made Blur sound like a generally fun, though mixed bag.
However, like a lot of Wii games, it was an experiment. Obviously if there are people out there who enjoyed the game, then there's reason to believe it did some things right. Make a sequel that tweaks the little things that people had problems with in Blur and bam, there you go. |

This NEEDS to happen. I've loved every SSX game I got my hands on with the exception of the PSP title. That was more a fault of the PSP's design than the game. While I enjoyed SSX3 immensely, I went through and played the holy living crap out of Tricky more than I did SSX3. The game just keeps you going and makes you want to unlock everything for everyone. SSX3, once I was done with maxing out one character, I lost interest.
I'd love to have a true Tricky refresh for today's gaming market. PS3 and Xbox 360 versions please. |

They should give it the Burnout Paradise treatment with party modes, updates etc.
EA Montreal(SSX Blur) went on to develop Need for Speed: Nitro, maybe they've multiple projects in development but I doubt it. |
