Square Enix USA removing voice from Valkyrie Profile DS Confirmed

triAce_fanboy is legit. iirc the Cheripa event was indeed voice acted, the english vid of that scene doesn't have any voice. Are they removing the VA from all story scenes? No sale if true. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVaZrd2RWJw that's the scene I'm talking about. |

Not really a big loss, and the story isn't a big reason to play the game. Maybe they don't think the game is going to make the sort of money that warrants hiring all new VA? It probably isn't.
As for the game itself: personally I liked it, it's short but has a lot of branching paths. The battle system is completely unique and the game is very challenging in places if you try to play the good path. One battle was memorably cheap, but other than that, the game was quite good. Certainly one of the more interesting SRPGs on the DS. |

This is pretty sucky. Knowing they cut the party talk feature from DQIV is one of the reasons I was pushed away from the game (not that removing the VA is as big as this but it still sucks).
Capcom did the same with MMZX if I recall correctly but I'm surprised to see it happening in a SE game. |
