Rumor: Leaked Assassin's Creed 2 Details/Trailer Description
#1
Destructoid just posted this trailer description sent to them from an anonymous e-mail. It seems quite plausible though:

Just what I thought would make AC better.
Roads made with fucking water. |

I just saw this over there. It seems possible. I thought the first kind of tripped up on it's own ambition a bit. I think this will definately improve on what they had. I liked the climbing mechanic, chases, and assassinations. They have to work on some of the other stuff. I'll be looking forward to seeing this at "a game expo this year."

As if I didn't mention Renaissance- like, I don't know, 4 times. Meet Ezio.

If they add more variety to the missions, which I think is a given being that it's a sequel, and maybe some light RPG elements (money, upgradeable gear, interaction with other characters, mission/quest rewards) then I think this could be one of the best games ever. The gameplay was so solid in the first, but the lack of variety was extremely disappointing.

Renaissance Venice.... awesome if true.
More variety, less of a linear experience and if you are going to include collectables then look at something like Crackdown, where hunting for hidden objects actually benefits you as opposed to a gimmick to artificially lengthen the game. |

Despite a lot of obvious flaws, I enjoyed the first game. I'm looking forward to more info on this.

I don't remember having any issues with the 360 version when I played it. I remember being shocked by how well the engine handled big environments, though.
