It was awesome in the arcades. 1 on 1 mech fighting with dual sticks. The actual arcade units had a barrier between the players so you couldnt peek at the other player's screen. It was awesome.

Nah, he faced a far worse fate. He was relegated to making arcade exclusive racing games where he could make no real design input.

Me? I'd have been fine with a Wii port of the original with new and classic (DC) controls with 480p, 16:9, and Dolby PLII for a budget price. :(
