We already know the game will probably stay true to what made the original so much fun (charm, easy to pick up controls, fun characters, etc) - so beyond that, just make sure the gestures work. Do whatever it takes, just make 'em work better than they do in the Wii's other boxing efforts.
Wii Fit's boxing exercises prove that it can be done pretty accurately, so build on that. |

I'm interested, but it's nostalgia rather than expecting a truly amazing title. From what we've seen, it might have been better as a Wiiware download. Unless it's packed with features. I hope it features unlockable Nintendo cameos aside from the main Punch Out cast. Ganondorf would be great ;D
Also, this needs to be done in the Mag Ad thread. |

007-373-5963 fuck yeah!
in a related story, cops pulled a friend and i over while we were out of town. being that i didn't have my ID on me one of the cops asked me for my social security number. yup, out comes the mike tyson code. i didn't even notice until i was damn near finished saying it. needless to say the cop didn't play a lot of punch-out!!! as a kid because he was NOT amused. called me a bitch, asked for my real social and then held us up for about an hour until he was absolutely convinced i was who i said i was. pretty funny in hindsight but at the time i thought they were going to try to pin some unsolved murders on me. so yeah, i fucking love PO!!! all of them. can't wait for the Wii version. |

I've been waiting for freaking ever like most of you. I'd hate to see Nintendo try to cater this to a bunch of people who've never played the original games. I'm scared to death of this being Wii Boxing with great art or something. Please give me standard controls, Nintendo. Please keep the gameplay fast, simple, pattern/rhythm-based, and worth coming back to. God, we need some preview builds to go out or something. |

should think twice before lying about games he's never played

Did we ever get confirmation if this was a remake of the NES Punchout, or a new game containing only 'some' of the old boxers?
It would be awesome if there were hidden Nintendo cameo boxers in the game.... Ganondorf, Bowser,.........REGGIE?????????????? ![]() |

Kind of hard to feel hyped about something we know almost nothing about, and have seen/heard even less of.
I hope it has the simple, pattern-based magic of the first two games. Nintendo's outsourced iterations have been hit-or-miss. |
