If this is true, I'm a bit surprised that it isn't multi-player DLC. Some great multi-player content and fixes could repair the game's reputation that took a beating with numerous problems that surround its online functionality. Despite Horde mode, I remember how my friends and I were so frustrated with Gears 2 that we moved onto Left4Dead and other shooters.

They also don't have to pay certain costs with multi-player content, such as voice-actors (or pull a Operation Anchorage and get hobos to voice your single-player DLC).

That's the Hong Kong 'Marketplace', the text in screenshot is in Traditional Chinese, and yeah all three items that feature Gears of War 2 have 'map pack' next to the names.

Single player DLC would be great. Actually, I don't even care if we get a Gears 3. I just want a constant supply of new SP action to play through, story be damned. Oh, and no turrets or on rails segments.

I think the rumor of the SP DLC comes from an announcement at the GDC and the twitter page of Geoff Keighley.
