Photoshop GAF - Retro Box art for Modern Games #1

This thread was requested in the US Boxart one, so what the hell. I hope this doesn't distract anyone from making box art for the GAF collection, but rather makes you addicted to making even more like me at the moment.

Get box art templates from here: http://www.thecoverproject.net/forum...p?topic=1610.0

Take a current/previous gen game and give it box art for an older console. Try to make your cover look as if it could have come directly from whatever console you pick.

This is a quick photoshop job of the Conduit that inspired this thread..

and here's another one I just made..

Some inspirational material:

Now show us what you've got!

That Wii Sports cover is cute. A bit too Atari-like though, what with the undetailed pixart.

Yeah, I'm imagining some of the crazy talented people around these parts can do better, judging by the quality in the GAF Collection thread.

Something simple that uses the original artwork from the superior PAL version, just to give a start to this thread:

J/k about the FMV length, obviously ;)

I was searching for the Atari font to use with photoshopping and then came across this website:

http://www.labelmaker2600.com/

Very slick and much easier. Unfortunately I can't take credit for the awesome Bill Romanski "box art".

I stuck the SEGA SEAL OF QUALITY badge there to hide the horrible smudge tooling in that corner.
