loving this thread. haven't listened to much instrumental hip hop for quite a long time. Glad to see it has progressed so much.

I needed to come back here and give you a thousand thank you's. They have such incredible tracks. So much good music and all of it was fucking free. I really need to give this group some money because they certainly deserve it. Recommendations like this are why I always come back to GAF.

Ive been hipped to so much good music from this thread it's easily favorite of all time.

btw, Pretty Lights is actually just one guy :lol

He puts on a cool live show as well with plenty of, well, Pretty Lights. He tours with a live drummer as well. Actually got to meet him before one of his shows, seemed like a cool dude (he's on the left).

Anything by Fat Jon, Madlib, or MF DOOM
Blockhead - Music by Cavelight
Prefuse 73 - And Everything She Touched Turned Ampexian
Dabyre - One/Three and Two/Three

Will cosign the work of Nicolay on the strength of the Foreign Exchange album.

dunno if it's been mentioned yet or not but:

Company Flow - Little Johnny From the Hospitul
Blockhead - Downtown Science or Music By Cavelight

Don't know why, but I don't have any DJ Krush... gonna have to change that.

I have a couple more "must haves" that I haven't see posted yet. I'll post tomorrow when I'm next to my computer and not posting from my phone...
