MAJOR Gran Turismo 5 Rumors (2009 December Release?)
#1
From the GT5 thread here on GAF is a link to GTPlanet's forum. GTPlanet is one of the biggest Gran Turismo sites around and a premium member had a post months earlier that hinted on him having some very exciting news (http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=114526). Said premium member, amar212, is a *respected figure at GTP.
He left this cryptic post today (http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=115870):
Quote:
Some educated guesses: 1. Worldwide release within the next 12 months, possibly 1 Dec, 2009 2. 600+ cars, 96 tracks with remakes from GT4 3. Track editor splicing tracks from existing tracks 4. Voice chat, party mode, clan suport 5. Two release versions, one SKU where you pay a large amount of money that allows you free excess to all future vehicle DLCs and another SKU which you have the option to purchase singular DLCs for. 6. GT mobile on PSP2 or PC If this gets released this year it would be amazing. This is Sony's biggest IP by far. *

gantz, members with red usernames on GTPlanet aren't moderators, they're premium members (members who pay to have extra features and their own private subforum). Moderators have bold dark blue names, Admins have italicized dark blue usernames.
Regardless, Amar is still very credible. |

hope something is true. Too much waiting, i think it's time to release some official info, i hope e3 is the right time
This game must be HUGE, not only technically and visually, but content-wise. The long wait means more hype to an already hyped IP ![]() Last edited by tzare : 04-16-2009 at 05:20 PM. |

we heard rumblings about the 2 different versions back when GT5P was announced. I wonder how much the premium is going to cost? Its risky, there would have to be a guarenteed DLC list if i was plopping down a bigger chunk of money. It also seems like they are releasing gt5 for the ps3, and thats it. They will support gt5 throughout the generation?

guys, the premium one will probably be a collector's edition SKU (gt5 + future dlcs + some car miniature + a kazunori yamauchi pic) or, like some people said on gtplanet, it could refer to the professional and arcade approach in driving style (an expanded one of gt5:p). either way makes sense.
btw, track editor fuck yeah! |
