Agreed, this is awesome. But check out Beat Hazard for this reason too. Feels like is was made with Alive 2007 in mind, that album does wonders for these kinds of games.

Since this is a page dedicated to dubstep I thought it wouldn't hurt to share this here. My friend and I have recently starting producing music, and we're not exclusive to dubstep but so far the first couple of songs uploaded are dubstep tunes. We're new to it so we're trying to get as much feedback as possible cause there's always room for improvement. So I'd really appreciate if you guys gave these a listen and let me know of your thoughts, good or bad! Gracias

Then I heard this thing called dubstep for the first time in 2005/2006 and it really floored me in the same way that I Care Because You Do and Tri Repetae did back in the day. After getting my hands on tons of dubstep I then found Burial which was really a life changing moment. I remember telling my friend at the time that this is the future of music. Now if I say the word dubstep it usually goes to really bad places, lol. |

I get what youre saying, but I like that style from I posted more because I mainly listen to this genre when working out/running and it gets me really pumped and hyped up. What you posted sounds more like just regular old drum and bass chillout music, not what I would consider "dubstep" although Im not exactly sure what pure dubstep is or is suppose to sound like.

Follow Dubstep Tutorial advice. Make sure you layer together some heavy modulated wub bass drops. You are now THE dubstep artist with your own track. JK I really wouldn't have a clue outside of messaging them on their youtube pages/official pages. |

Flux, Nero and the like peaked like 2-3 years ago for those of us that have paid attention for a while. Before them it was Rusko, Caspa and Doctor P making pop/brostep. Most people into EDM in general never confuse these artists for dubstep artists like Burial, DJ Madd, Pinch, etc.
I'm not hating, I just think the more rock/rave-ish stuff is played-out and most people have no idea what dubstep really is or where it came from. |

Or alternately, just create two simple beat layers and add a bit of a vinyl sound effect in the background an voila! You have the "smart" dubstep.

As more people are dropping their playlist here, I might drop it as well (Spotify), Click here for Dubstep playlist
It's probably the more mainstream dubstep ("brostep") (Skrillex, Doctor P, Feed Me, Nero, Modestep etc.) but I like it myself, there is some DnB and stuff in it as well. I'm constantly updating it so new songs will be added. :) |
